Staff needs to be trained! Went there Friday and Sunday for lunch. Sunday I sat outside for 20 minutes, watching all the other tables get service by both of the waitresses. Finally, I went inside, place my order, (two hamburgers). Another 20 minutes goes by, and my food arrives, (two double burgers). When I went in to pay my check I informed the bartender who took my order that I did not order double burgers, (having managed restaurants myself I can tell you that the correct reply would have been "I'm very sorry sir, I will certainly only charge you for singles). I was told "All of our burgers are doubles". Well, that is a LIE, and I pointed out that I had been there Friday and had a single burger, (to say nothing of the fact that the first item on the menu is a Single Burger, followed ironically by a Double Burger). The bartender replied, "Huh.", and proceeded to charge me for two doubles. In summary - the service is terrible at best. Food is good, atmosphere is nice, but someone who knows how to run a restaurant could make the...
Read moreGreat atmosphere, not for large groups. We had a reservation for 15 for a Saturday night. I had called Tuesday evening to set it and got confirmation. I then called Friday around noon to confirm the time and was put on a brief hold and was then confirmed. All 15 of us showed up and no one knew of our reservation. It took about an hour for us to then be seated (thank goodness for the outdoor tiki bar!). Being it was a Saturday night with a group of our size I knew we wouldn’t find anywhere else able to take us. I think it’s an awesome spot but having worked in hospitality, I was very surprised no manager approached us to apologize or offer a round of drinks while we waited until an hour after our reservation. Especially being that it was a bachelorette party, which I explicitly told both people I spoke with prior to...
Read moreIt seems in the last year the quality of food has gone down and the prices have gone up. I had a Beyond Waubesa burger the other day and all I got for $11 was a bun and a thin Beyond burger, plus three small sliced pickles. That’s it! No fries, no chips, just two pieces of bread and a thin piece of burger. I did order fries, which came 10 minutes after I got my burger, and they were essentially crispy cooked potatoes, with out much substance. The ice tea I ordered had a weird taste (the waitress also agreed) and I had to return it. I’ve heard from others that have dined there recently is that their breaded fish is basically a thick coating of cooked breaded mixture with little fish. My wife and I will no longer dine at Christy’s until they improve on the quality and...
