Honkers Dining, Lodging, and Spirits — Restaurant in Town of Eagle

The worst and most unprofessional business I have ever been too. I was recently in Muscoda over the weekend and tried renting a room here. I started by going in and asking if there was any I was told yes there is two rooms available. I was giving the option for room 5 & 8, I took #8. Unloaded the car and left. Came back to grab a sweatshirt and was told sorry we already reserved this room for someone else and there were no more rooms and would have to be given a refund. I have never been so embarrassed in my life. So then we had to travel to Richland Center to get a room that I had to pay $20 more to stay in. I have two aunts that live there and u can guess I told them of the experience we had. Not one person in my family will ever visit your establishment again. That's a lot of money u just lost from my family. We are up there often and will NEVER come to this bar/restaurant again. I believe we are entitled to more then an apology from your staff. Absolutely unacceptable to run a business this way. What if we had not come back for a sweatshirt was she just going to throw our stuff out????? I would get a better system for your motel rooms. I will tell everyone I know not to visit this bar/motel always. Thanks...

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The hotel room is absolutely AWFUL. The door wouldn’t lock from the outside, and we couldn’t use the chain lock to lock our door from the inside. We were worried that our items could have been stolen or that we could have been murdered due to someone breaking in because we couldn’t lock our door. The cabinets were duck taped and falling off the hinges, the Wifi was very spotty, bugs all over the place. Overall disgusting and a total dump. When I booked the hotel reservation months ago, I was unaware of the fact that my dogs had to be in a crate or kennel at all times (even while we were with them). We were abruptly scolded by the maid service to immediately kennel the dogs. There wasn’t a place to purchase a kennel within a half hour drive, so they had to provide one for us. The maid service woke us up in the morning banging on the door, and saw the dogs outside of the kennel and reported us to the owner. The owner told us that we needed to leave. They say they’re pet friendly, when they indeed are not. I highly do not recommend this place to anyone who wants to book a reservation. Pet friendly my ass… thanks for ruining our annual...

I don't think I will ever forget my visit at Honkers for all of the wrong reasons. I only ate there and I would hate to imagine staying there. I have eaten a lot of steaks in my life but the one from Honkers was by far the worst. It was favorless, colorless, and the texture was terrible. I had a couple of others in my group try it just to confirm that it wasn't just me. They confirmed that it was really bad, in fact, they spit it out. I attempted to politely return the steak but I was told that there was nothing wrong with it and the chef wouldn't send out something that wasn't perfect. My friends and I were all taken aback at this and we left to never return. It's really a shame because the food that my friends ordered seemed decent but everything was soured by poor...
