Second visit here and really want to like this place more. The beers available all had citrus infusion or some other flavoring. Most are New England style and unfiltered. They are smooth. The menu looks great, the peanut butter burger is unique and worth trying once. On our 2nd trip, the cheese pizza was excellent, but the Hawaii 5-0 was flat in flavor, though it looked awesome. The prices seem high, our check was over $60 w/tip for a flight of beers (4), a can of wine and two pizza's. We could have gotten away with 1 pizza. I bought a empty growler and didn't fill it. The place is loud, the ceilings are left open giving an industrial feel, which I like, but the hard walls make everything echo and reverberate. In retrospect it did remind me somewhat of Haufbrau Haus. Put the close captioning on the TV's. Some industrial features are left over from IBM while Sloop Brewery branding is apparent through-out, this makes it look bi-polar and unable to decide what is the theme. The leftover IBM memorabilia is boring, I've seen much better (old wafers for example are very colorful). There is not one drawing or picture of Sloop that I could find. Don't want to be too negative, the beer is smooth and strong but you have to like that style. Glad to see the re-use of the space and I will go back to for the beer and to bring visitors but it is unlikely to be a regular stop.

So my 11-year-old daughter and I roll up here on a motorcycle like the snack-sized biker gang we are. We weren’t planning to stop—but fate (and possibly hunger) led us to this glorious haven of fries and flavor. I had a full-blown food crisis trying to pick between the chicken sandwich and the pulled pork. Our server (clearly a sandwich psychic) nudged me toward the pulled pork. Bless her. It was juicy, flavorful, and exactly what I didn’t know I needed. Meanwhile, my daughter got fries and said, “These slap.” So there you have it. Fries: certified kid-approved. Now let’s talk beverages. The root beer? LEGENDARY. Like, I’d bottle it and bathe in it if that were socially acceptable. And the light beer? Chef’s kiss. Tasty enough to make me feel like I’m living my best life, but light enough that I don’t start karaoke-ing to strangers in the parking lot. Small heartbreak: they used to have this spicy Asian noodle dish that was fire—literally and emotionally—and now it’s gone. RIP, spicy noods. You are missed. Still, this place is an absolute gem. Great stop, great food, great root beer, and great memories with my kid on a sunny ride. If you see their beer anywhere else—buy it. Hoard it. Treasure it. You’re welcome.

First off, love the beer and food was decent. First time here and couldn't locate the entrance along with several others in tbe parking lot. After parking, I proceeded to the metal ramp leading up to entrance but the first step took the railing and ramp down into a pool of rotting beer. My food went into the sludge and was soaked in this smelly concoction. There was a shipping container next to the ramp that was spewing skunky beer and it had a stream leading to the ramp. I didn't notice till the ramp brought my first step down 3 inches into this and soaked into my right sneaker, sock, and foot. Since there was no manager i polited noted this to the head bartender Jess that not only was this a safety issue but my rigbt foot is soaking wet in what we both gathered was rotting beer. Her response, as she was walking away, "noted, I'll let someone know". This wasn't an apology nor did I even get a beer on the house. My son was hungry so we ate and left after that. Perhaps I'm used to great service from other breweries. But i could have gotten a beer from Jess considering I showed her my wet right foot and she ran the bar. a Needless to say, I won't be returning after Jess's uncaring response.

Chuck E. Cheese for adults. That's exactly what this place feels like. I'm also not sure if that's a compliment or not.

Came out here with some friends on a Saturday night after hearing so much about it. As soon as you walk in it's very vibey, long hallway, color lights lighting up. You just can't wait what to see what the actual tasting room is like.

Once you walk in, there's a bunch of kids running around, the place is so loud. Everything is just off the walls and all over the place. You have to wait to be seated (apparently this is a new thing and we didn't know). Walked right in, went straight to the bar area to check out their brews. Love their menu display, pretty rad. They had a lot of amazing options to choose from and they do let you try what you want ahead of time. It was extremely crowded and felt a little bit understaffed. We waited a good 15 minutes for someone to finally notice us so we can scream our order and what we wanted to try.

Apparently you can’t order, pay and then go sit. You have to have a waiter/waitress.

On to the beers: what really matters about this place and why I gave them 4 stars in the first place. Their specialty is Juice Bomb. It’s the bomb! However, my favorite sour was the Black Razz. It’s a deep purple, takes you to a berry explosion. Yum yum yum! Also Pixie Dust was to die for. You feel like you’re in a fantasy world with rainbows and sprinkles once you give it a sip. Definitely a must!

Food options: Deh-lish! Finally a brewery where you can have the best of both worlds: delicious food with amazing beer.

I do have to say, my only disappointment here was how loud and crazy it was and how very (way too) kid friendly (on my opinion) it is. I do appreciate that they allow kids I just think this place shouldn’t be so ChuckE Cheesy and arcady. The waitresses could also fix their attitude a little bit. Once you get past all that and into the beers then everything’s fine. The whole world is fine. Everything’s ok.

Thank you sloop brewery for having amazing beers! There’s always room for improvement on...

Went here with my wife not long after it first opened. The place was crowded with way too many kids running around. Dreary cafeteria style atmosphere not appealing whatsoever for a brewery. We decided not to stay. According to their website Sloop brews about ten different IPAs. I saw one called West Coast IPA. So I decided to go back this past Sunday to try it. Also wanted to checkout their outdoor space, which was new since the first time I was there, thinking it may be a way to avoid the mayhem and rundown appearance of inside. The West Coast IPA is a misnomer. It tasted more like an American IPA with more of a NE style finish. Its best quality was that it is not hazy. I asked the bartender why they have so many IPAs but nothing truly west coast. She was not friendly at all, and proceeded to tell me, incorrectly, that it was a genuine west coast style and that the only difference is in the malt. Obviously she doesn’t know IPAs. West coast style is considerably more hoppy and bitter, which this clearly was not. I have had their flagship juice bomb a few times. It, as well as other NE/hazy style beers, are really just a novelty for people who regularly drink real IPA. They appeal mostly to people who don’t like beer in general. The outdoor space consisted of some picnic tables under a pavilion between two large parking lots, leaving much to be desired. East Fishkill is a family oriented area. I can see Sloop doing well catering to that clientele. But there are too many breweries around today for me to waste my money at this place. And for someone who is a real IPA connoisseur, Sloop is a big let down. Gave one star only because zero is not an option. I...

The facility is impressive - plenty of tables, large bar, Cornhole, giant connect 4.

The beer: only sours and IPAs. Mosaic bomb was ok, but I was disappointed by how mellow it was. Some of the sours were really good - Sangria White stood out, while I thought the Clementine sour had a bit too much lactose. I enjoyed trying some of the beers I hadn't had, even though I was disappointed by a few of them.

The food: the peanut butter bacon cheese burger sounded amazing, but fell a little short flavor wise. It was very muddled and nothing really popped. The burger itself was very well done. The bacon and peanut butter didn't really pop, nor were they particularly prevalent. I think the juice bomb pickles were the most disappointing - I was expecting contrast to the rest of the rich ingredients, and they just fell flat.

Service: the waitress was friendly for the most part, but didn't check in nearly enough. It got to the point where my girlfriend got tired of waiting for a beer, so she went to the bar. Both bartenders told her that the tables have table service. Neither of them seemed inclined to offer her a beer at first, but eventually relented and poured her one. When she got back to our table, our waitress rushed back to the table and borderline scolded her for going to the bar.

Overall, disappointed. Not a place I would pick for another group gathering. At the same time, I'm hoping the service issue was a one time thing, so I wouldn't be opposed to returning if a group of friends choose Sloop...
