Should you find yourself serendipitously in the East Hampton during breakfast or lunch hour, consider it destiny and stop by at the Cookery. You can thank me later. A charming converted bungalow filled with culinary delights, it can convert the toughest muffin critics into raving fans.
It has been weeks, and I still think about the triple ginger muffin with rosemary. To be clear, I hate muffins. They are dry, dense, bland versions of cupcakes. There I said it. Enter the Cookery, now I am converted and wondering when I can be back to reunite with the only muffin I've ever loved.
The moist spongy texture amidst a delicate balance of sweetness, pops of candied ginger, and the unexpected pairing of rosemary was sublime. It is an unassuming muffin that packs a flavor punch.
If you are planning on only getting one thing, you are mistaken. Because this is a place where you must try a selection. If the whole kitchen sink is your vibe, try the "Gino" cookie. Gluten-free and vegan options exist, and they are equally delectable. Cakes are gorgeous and can be pre-ordered for your special occasions.
To satisfy savory cravings, try the quiche or one of the delicious soups of the day.
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, there is easy parking on the premises, and outdoor seating is available for those glorious summer days. A gem of exquisite flavors that feels like home, I'll...

Lina said she had frittatas and ham & cheese pastry. To which we got and enjoyed at a small table. The frittatas was good - lots of flavor.
But, the ham and cheese pastry was amazing. It melted in our mouth's. We took some pastry snacks for our road trip for the day -- we got back to the Cookery just before they closed and brought some amazing soup back to our Airbnb for dinner.
We are only in the Hampton's for the weekend. We already know where we are going for breakfast in the morning. By the way - the coffee is a divine Columbian - if you are a coffee drinker get the large you will...
Read moreI ordered a chocolate cake for my husband’s 30th birthday, and I was thrilled! Most cakes in the NYC area are more frosting and filling than cake, so I was delighted to find a chocolate cake with three thick layers of moist and delicious chocolate cake. The filling and frosting were in perfect balance. Although I had intended to just pick up the cake, I couldn’t resist ordering a few cookies as well. They looked so good and they didn’t disappoint either! If I’m ever in the area again, I’ll definitely visit this place again. I highly...
