Cree-Mee Freeze — Restaurant in Town of Edinburg

My extended family has lived in the nearby town for the last 50 years. I’ve been coming to visit every summer for the last 25. I used to love getting ice cream from here, their product is good, they dip the cones in chocolate if you like, all was grand. But now it’s under new ownership, and the current gal running the place is perhaps the most disrespectful business owner I have ever met. Not only is she unaccommodating with your payment options (who doesn’t take cards in 2018?!?!) but she was very rude to my wife and father, screaming at us when we tried to have a friendly conversation. It takes a special kind of horrible person to ruin an ice cream experience, but this lady does it with ease. I’ll never give her my business again. Unfortunately Id say there is better. They were out of almost everything ...whitch is fine but after NOT telling me what they were out of she caught an attitude when I kept asking for things they didnt have ( there was no sign telling me what they were out of). I finally settled on a banana split sundae....whitch had all the wrong ice cream in it, and had tiny pieces of banana and did not look like advertised. It just wasn't worth the money. CreeMee Freeze, appropriately named, has the best, creamiest soft serve in all the land. It is consistently this way; rich, dreamy velvet with superb flavor. They’ve perfected the art of specialty sundaes - their strawberry cheesecake (with twist) is my favorite and far exceeds others I’ve had. Their food is delicious, too! Wings are top notch.
