Alright, let me just say, this place isn't really known for their food (as evidenced by the numerous reviews here). However, this is the center hub for all things wild up at Sacandaga - and it's definitely known for being just a downright FUN place to be. The people, the bartenders, the vibe, and the BANDS are always a good time. People drink, they dance, they flirt, they chat. It's just an overall great bar scene here - I have been here over the years, as my longtime friend's camp is on the east side of the lake. The location of the I-go makes it easy to get to relative to the many camps around the lake; you just walk down the road.
Now I will also say (in all seriousness here), if you walk to this bar, keep in mind that you are in the Adirondacks. You are not in Times Square. It is VERY dark out there at night, especially when overcast and/or moonless. DO NOT plan on walking back to a camp without a flashlight. Your iPhone probably won't be enough lumens/beam distance, I mean an actual flashlight.

Read moreSooo disappointed! Used to be my favorite spot. Didn't get time to go a lot this year but made it there yesterday and was excited to finally go. There wasn't many people there, since we arrived around 3:00. No one was eating inside and only half the tables outside were full. It took our waitress at least 10 minutes to come to our table to get our drink order. We ordered a beer and a water and waited at least another 10 minutes for them. We waited along time for our food, which was just 2 wraps and fries. The young sweet waitresses they used to have are now slow older women. When we finally received our bill ( which also took forever) I didn't even look at it I just gave her my card, so I didn't have to wait again. And of course I waited again for her to come back. Its not like I was in a hurry but Geeez! Everything took forever! Was never like this before. The food was mediocre.......nothing to write home about. Will try it again next summer (since it used to be a great place) and if its no better.....I'm...
Read moreOkay so I was there last week, and my first experience was awful. As soon as I walked up to the bar I could hear a profanity laced man swearing in the kitchen. Then the bartender served me a vodka cranberry. Upon which some older lady named Helen shouted at the bartender and told her to make a new one as she was dumping the one I purchased. So as I continue to my table I get a menu and they were sticky. Like a disgusting old jar of jelly. So I went to wash my hands and the bathroom was small, cramped and filthy. After that ordeal I went to order my food. It the the waitstaff over an hour to get to me. At this point an hour and a half in I finally ordered. The food which was alright was ruined for the hour and a half wait for the meal. The only reason I stayed was because my friend insisted we give this place a chance I regret ever coming to the I go inn and I would give less...
