Dimitris Pizzeria — Restaurant in Town of Elbridge

This place was a disaster on the night we visited. Not only did we sit 15 minutes before wait staff addressed us, our initial order was lost. I have eaten here 2 times before and the pizza was excellent. I encouraged family to come and try it out, to my own embarrassment. The 2nd order placed for us was incorrect and had to be sent back. The italian wedding soup arrived lukewarm and the ziti also was lukewarm. Staff was unable to keep up with the patrons, not sure if this was due to inexperience or being understaffed. I never received my drink order. In expanding their menu, I think they lost touch with what they did well, pizza. The crust/dough of the pizza is far different than it used to be, sadly thats what made me love it. It was still good but what made it stand out, wasn’t there on this trip. Ultimately, deciding to turn a pizza shop into a sit down dining experience is a liability for this place. They should have stuck to counter ordering and an order number. Having waitstaff doesn't make sense. Its the poor customer service and staff errors that has knocked the wind out of this pizza shops greatness. Dimitri’s has been feeding our family since we moved to the area in 2021, and we have never been let down! Our go-to is the pizza and wings special— wings are cooked perfectly with plenty of delicious sauce (we mix hot and garlic parm) and the pizza is consistently craveable. I’ve never been disappointed by anything on the menu. Reuben sandwich is amazing, pasta dinners are delectable (the penne with meatballs has been a lifesaver during our toddler’s picky phase), salads are huge and fresh, specialty pizzas are the best around, and the garlic knots make frequent appearances in my dreams. We normally do takeout, but the restaurant atmosphere is clean and inviting for our occasional sit-down lunch. Staff— eating in, picking up, and delivery drivers — are always friendly, helpful, and speedy. Really feels like a good, solid family business. After getting home from a long trip to an empty fridge, or after a particularly rough day, we always know we can count on Dimitri’s for comforting, delicious food. So, since this establishment has taken root right next to the cemetery in elbridge, they're a complete rip-off. Not only sub-par with old ingredients salads being 20$, 6 jalapeño poppers at 20$, or two slices of pizza for 10$(that's almost an entire pizza at most other establishments) they're services are completely clueless to what happens In House or off the menu. This establishment should be reviewed by the better business bureau for financial negligence with an insanely low quality of standard. If you're reading this, drive towards either Camillius or auburn for your stomach urges. This establishment has been beyond sub par for over 3 years now and I highly recommend saving your money for some REAL good Italian food. 20$ for a salad?! 20$ for 6 jalapeño poppers!?
