Granny's Ice Cream Shanty — Restaurant in Town of Ephratah

Can't go to the lakes without stopping here. Their ice cream still tastes delicious. They have varieties they make every week for new flavors, "specials" of the week . And there is some fast food too. As with everyone and everywhere, portion sizes have decreased and cost has increased. That being said, you still get more than enough ice cream and toppings to enjoy to the very last bite. We keep going back. Update, 9/21/24- Some new flavors of hard ice cream have been added and pricing has been 'fine tuned' for debit/ cash (about .10¢-.20¢ cheaper) and credit card payment. Sizing as well. Sundaes one size while other stuff has the options of getting whatever size fits your appetite. Waffle cones, hot apple sundae a few of the changes. Same good quality of soft ice cream. And they also have 'pup cups' for your dog, $1.50 with a dog biscuit on top. Can't beat that! Only gave 4 stars on food since all we had was ice cream. But prices reasonable, sizes more than enough, and short wait line. Still love this place....

My sister and I went to Granny's Ice cream place on route 29 and had two banana splits for $12.00 on 7/6/23. We were both extremely happy with the price and the amount. Today we drove 30 miles back and got 2 banana splits which had less bananas and ice cream for $13.50. No notice of price increase or change.

I saw your post on 7/12. Please explain then how Thursday we got one hard and one soft banana splits for $12.00. so what you are telling me is the soft is $5.25 and the hard is $6.75 But that still didn't explain the difference in the amount of ice cream and bananas in both splits. They were below the rim. I appreciate you taking the time to try to explain, but it just don't make sense to me the difference...

We love going to Grannys! The soft serve is so rich and creamy. Truly the best soft serve! Grannys is also a destination when we have friends visit from far away. I love bringing the grandkids they always have a great time! I will admit to being an icecream addict. I actually get a little sad when I go past and it's Winter! I tell people if your going to drive a 40 mile round trip for icecream you know it's the best! For entertainment its always fun to watch folks who have never been to Grannys ordering a large cone. It's huge! Stands about 6 inches...
