The Nest Tavern — Restaurant in Town of Fabius

We went to Lorenzo House in Cazenovia then to 2 waterfalls ending up around the corner from Tinker Falls. We wanted to be cool, have some decent food & a drink! We shared some appetizers versus buying a meal. The "loaded" nachos & the chicken tenders. The "loaded" nachos was some pickled peppers, sweet onion, lots of bacon & disgusting amounts of imitation cheese. Yuck! And the tenders were very good. But were the typical heavily coated chicken strips. There weren't many other options out in the deep woods of Madison County & it wasn't the best food we've ever had. I've driven past this place many times and decided to finally stop after a hike down in Labrador Hollow. I wasn't disappointed. This place has excellent happy hour and food specials - and as I happened to show up during the wing specials I had some and they were very good. Cool bar in town. The people working there are seriously the nicest folks you'll meet, and the other people hanging out were just as friendly. We didn't eat anything, but they do have food if you're hungry. They have bands play sometimes. They have a bike night on Tuesdays!
