The pictures of the place looked so good I had to check it out, but needless to say, I was disappointed something fierce. Do you want to order food? You have to go to their website and look at the menu there. No paper menus are available. Also, you have to find your own table. You need to do that before you can order food, but with a counter as soon as you come in, you wouldn't think that was the case. But it is. And it's the most inefficient thing I can imagine for real paying customers.
Then, they go a step further. There is no server. Just someone brings out your food to you on PAPER PLATES. Nothing to make those tacos you ordered feel like the cheapest thing than putting them on paper plates! And the quality of the food? Meh. Nice concept on paper, but the food we received wasn't even hot. It was lukewarm at best. This is another downfall of putting food on paper plates. It doesn't hold any heat for the food. Sure, they want to make things easier on their staff perhaps, but what am I even paying for at that point? The atmosphere is nice, aside from negligent parents letting their kids run around the dining area like a playground.
TL;DR: find your own table, no paper menus available, mediocre lukewarm food served to you on paper plates, and no one seems to watch their kids as they terrorize the dining hall. Would not recommend. Should have gone to my actual favorite...
Read moreI'm updating this review. My understanding is that they now carry nonalcoholic craft beer in a can on a regular basis. The main reason for this update is Sunday Brunch. The food is good but the breakfast potatoes are not up to par. They are just cubed potatoes dropped in the deep fryer. I can understand not wanting to do potatoes on the grill but these are lacking in flavor and uninteresting. My suggestion would be to have deep fried tater tots. They are moist and have great flavor. They are versatile to put in other dishes and would raise the quality of breakfast. They can also be served any time of day and go great with beer. I love Sunday Brunch there and the fact that they are dog friendly. It's just the boring dry probably frozen homefries that ruin it for me.
Met up with friends on a Saturday night about 6:30 pm. Had a great time. This is more of a destination than a bar. Inside and outside dining. Good beer. I just wish they would brew their own nonalcoholic beer. I go there to drink their beer, but it is a significant drive, so I have to minimize my alcohol intake. I would rather it be their nonalcoholic brew I drink rather than seltzer,...
Read moreI'm giving it 5 stars, even though it probably deserves less due to the typical wait time for food. I've been here a number of times over the years. Most times you have to wait a lot longer for your food than most places. But it is a relaxed atmosphere with indoor/outdoor dining (Food Truck), a broad range of clientele and the occasional pupper dogs. There's a decent variety of beer and wine. The food is excellent, service is slow, but friendly. My gripe is I put a to go order in, showed up 2 minutes after it was supposed to be ready and waited 40 minutes in the parking lot for it to come out. I had the shade of the food truck, some good music and some work email to take care of, so I didn't mind. Also they apologized profusely and gave me a 4 pack of their hard cider for my troubles. So I'm good. Food is definitely worth the wait. I've had the chicken gryo, different tacos, fried chicken sandwich and some sort of tasty steak sandwich I don’t remember much about other than it was tasty (too much beer). It's a place to slow down and relax. They also host different events, live music, corn hole, trivia, etc. Great...
