Another gem in the Northwoods! I was the first one their tonight so was able to chat with the owner. Come to find out it was established in 1937 and one side was a bowling alley in it's day. I had a very good Old-fashioned or two at the bar. I ordered the broiled Scallops " you get 6, I forgot to take a picture when they came🤪. Along with 2 sides. Salad and home made pasta cream soup and a warm loaf of bread. The scallopes were cooked perfectly and the soup was wonderful. The atmosphere was very Supper Club and clean. Then for dessert I had a very good Brandy Alexander at the bar and chatted with some of the locals. Next time in the area I will be stopping again.

This is a classic northern Wisconsin family run supper club. They focus on fish, chicken, pork, etc. Friday fish fry and Saturday Prime. They just started a blue gill option. Blue gill is my favorite. They use a fairly heavy beer batter, would have liked it a little lighter but still really good and will order it again. I paired it with hash browns, curds, and beer cheese soup (healthy I know.) Wife loved her chicken salad with walnuts, strawberries, and blue cheese. They have good desserts and they have a large adult ice cream drink selection that would make most supper clubs proud. Really friendly service so we will be back again.

The staff and food were both excellent! Had the special of night “pasta flight” and it was plentiful, each type of pasta was great with a butternut squash ravioli, bolognese and a shrimp with gnocchi! I had the French onion soup which was delicious. Definitely the best restaurant around for miles to enjoy a wonderful relaxing dinner with a glass of wine or beer. They have specials every night. I hear their prime rib is delicious too. Sufficient parking on site.

Worst experience of my life. Foods was terrible. Staff has no idea what they are doing. Cheap outdated decor. Cheap ingredients. Don't know how to prepare food to make it taste anywhere close to good. Owner came from the kitchen and yelled at me about how I did not know what prime rib was it was my fault the food was bad. My wife and I were out for our anniversary dinner. We first walk in the door the bartender says hi and we stand at the front door for 5 minutes waiting for a server to seat us. There is a party in back, but our server was not helping with it. She was standing at the salad bar. We ordered cheese curds right away. When they came out some where still cold in the middle. Whatever it happens. We order dinner. Our server walks away before we can order drinks. I get drinks from the bar. Salad bar which comes with the meal has only enough lettuce for one salad. We wait 45 minutes to get our food. Medium Rare prime rib comes out med well to well. None of the fat rendered down at all. It is dry, flavorless, hunk of grey meat. I can handle this was going to take it home and season it eat it with eggs in the morning. I try to eat my hash browns and they are cold and raw. You can clearly see that only one side has even touched the flat top. My wife ordered the drunken chicken. There was no flavor. The cheese that smothered chicken was just disgusting, a ill tasting white film more than cheese. This. is where I got up set. The app was cold, had to get my own drink, waited 40 minutes for poorly cooked food. The server took my food back to the kitchen. I did not want anything else. Nothing had been made right yet. Server comes back 5 mintues later to see if we wanted desert. A ballsy question considering I had not eaten. We had to wait 10 more minutes to get our check. The prime rib was taken off the bill, but there was a $9.00 charge on that I did not understand. It was for the salad bar. I informed the bartender that I had gotten just a cup of soup and was not going to pay $9.00 for it. He grabbed the Chef who is also the manager and owner. First word out of here mouth are yelled half way acrossed the bar of " Some you had some sort of problem with you food " great start. I explained prime rib was fatty and with out flavor. First was asked if I had ever had prime rib before then she blames the cattle yards for fattening up the cattle before slaughter. We went back and forth. As the owner of a restaurant yelling and swearing at you customers is not usually recommend. She took the check ripped it up said people come far and wide to eat her food. There was 4 people in...

We were very disappointed when we had waited 2.5 hours and our food was not yet served. We had kindly asked to speak to the owner, who did not come out, and had inquired multiple times to speak with. When we finally went to find and speak with the owner, they said it was not unheard of to wait 1.5 hours. Agreed, but that wasn't our case, and they would not take off any part of the bill, drinks, or appetizers included. When it was in fact 2.5 hours wait, and multiple tables sat, up to over an hour after us had already received their food. They then proceeded to blame us for making the waitress cry, whom we did not address any of this with besides asking about the food and speaking with the owner, after two hours, if our food was going to be ready soon. Our waitress had a lot on her plate and we understood that service was understaffed and overbooked for the night as there were other tables complaining about this. We just asked for the owner, who again, would not come out. When finally discussing with the owner, they said they would not take anything off the bill despite multiple discrepancies in the bill for drinks that we either didn't ever get or were told we'd get for free because we had to ask four times before a drink came out. Also, when trying to address the bill at the bar, there was a man who had also pushed one of our members and said we had to pay, and how dare we treat staff as such. When asking for some of the bill being deducted, they said they would call the police had we not paid the full bill even though they had given others ahead of us some discounts. Unfortunately, the owner attempted to blame us for the waitress crying except none of this was addressed with our waitress. The food was okay when it finally came out but we will for sure not...

A big group of us got together to see friends in town for a few days. While there was not a big staff on hand, they were able to handle our large party pretty efficiently. The servers and the bartender did a great job of helping each other out to take care of not only our group but several other smaller tables as well. The food was great. I know a few people got the prime rib sandwich special and a few got steaks. I got a special order vegetarian pasta dish. They were very willing to make something up for me. Otherwise there were a few other options for me as well! It is just a nice friendly place to go, run by a family who has lived here quite a long time. It was a really nice night, highly recommend the Northwoods...
