White Lake Inn — Restaurant in Town of Forestport

We made a stop at White Lake Inn after a day at Enchanted Forest. Regrettably, we will not be repeating this experience. Upon being seated, it took approximately 20-25 minutes for our server to attend to our drink orders. When the drinks arrived, there was confusion regarding who ordered what, understandable given our party of eight. Following this, our food orders were placed, and it took another 20-30 minutes for the appetizers to arrive. Notably, our main courses included a fish fry accompanied by a salad, but we were not informed that the salad was from a self-service salad bar until we inquired. Furthermore, sandwiches ordered with pickles required a separate request for those pickles, and one sandwich arrived with tomatoes despite a specific request for no tomatoes. Most concerning was the omission of chicken wings from our order, which one member of our party waited an additional 30 minutes for, only to discover they were drenched in sauce and incomplete, with 8 out of 10 wings provided. The lack of acknowledgment or apology for these issues was disappointing. This trip to this restaurants took almost 2 hours and it was not to full capacity. Rode up here with some friends for lunch. This place came recommended by some people our friends knew. We made a reservation for 12 so they knew we were coming. Let me start with the location was nice. Although we chose to sit inside the deck was beautiful overlooking the lake.

NOW….we had to setup our own tables to accommodate our group. The server finally comes to take our drink order. Finally get our drinks after about 15-20 minutes. We were the ONLY party sitting inside. Our order gets taken and it took quite awhile to get food, but we were in no hurry. I ordered a BLT and hubby ordered a Philly steak sub which came on a hot dog bun. The food was good for bar food, but ABSOLUTELY NOT WORTH THE PRICE. For 2 sandwiches with fries and 2 sodas our bill was $44.00 without a tip. So by the time we left a tip our lunch was $50.00 for mediocre food and lousy service. We had to ask for utensils, napkins, refills, and condiments. As a side note….the menus we ordered off of yesterday ARE NOT the menus online. There is way more that led up to a 1 star review, but I’m going to stop here. We will not be going back, and I don’t recommend anyone else stops for...

Well where do I start…if it was possible I’d give no stars. The server was so rude and disrespectful!!! I and a group of friends walked in and sat down. The server came over and asked what we all wanted for drinks when she got to me I asked for a Rum and coke she then laughed…. I looked at her and asked “what’s so funny”? She then said “I didn’t think you were serious” as she continued to laugh….. I once again asked for a rum and coke as she laughed and asked for my ID witch I gave her no problem I understand I look young as she picked up my ID she kept laughing…then said “this isn’t you” (I have a legal New York State ID and never had any issues before) confused I asked why she then said “I don’t believe this is real” when the group of people I was with looked at the ID they were confused as the picture looked just like me as it was a recent photo my friend piped up and tried telling the server that it was real but she just continued to laugh…. I got up and left!!! I felt very disrespected by her actions I feel that it was very immature to laugh at someone like that. I will never be going back and will not be recommending this...
