Rizzo's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Town of Franklinville

I ordered a small tomato and cheese pizza this afternoon. The person on the phone specified, "you don't want a cheese pizza, you want a pizza with marinara sauce". I said right. (I've never heard of marinara sauce on pizza but that would be fine). When I picked up the pizza, the guy at the counter read my order-cheese with tomato on it. Sure enough, we opened the box and it was a cheese pizza with tomatoes on it. I repeated to him my conversation with the girl on the phone. He apologized and I said, that's fine I'll take it. (I had frozen food in my car, I couldn't wait) So I said does this mean I can get a free pizza next time? He said I can't make that determination. So on the way home, I started brewing. I spared them the hassle of making another pizza, spared them the loss for a pizza and thought, maybe he couldn't make the decision but he could have said he would find out. Ordered food from here whilst in the middle of moving, thought it would be a good meal for everybody to take a small break with. Order came late and gave us the wrong order. Called them back to let them know the order wasn't mine and was placed on a 10 minute hold, then was told they were getting the manager and placed me on another 5 minute hold, they told me I was wrong that they didn't make a mistake and when I asked for a refund they refused to give one. This place does not care about customer service and making there customers happy. All I wanted was my correct order so that everyone working could eat. The order contained something someone was allergic too, why would we order that we said. They told us we ordered what we got. I ordered from here while we were staying in Ellicottville to avoid long lines in town… this was actually the only place that picked up the phone on Saturday night over Presidents’ Day weekend, and only by them taking our order were we able to feed our kids pizza, so that was a plus! The downside was that they mixed up my order and did not seem to recognize or care that I ordered three pizzas but only got two! I ordered another one and it came out relatively quickly, but, having driven 25 minutes on snowy roads to get there and having to turn right around and drive right back, it would’ve been nice to get a little recognition of the inconvenience, or maybe at least some free breadsticks or something?! But in the end it was good, hot, tasty pizza that we got to enjoy with our family friends back at the place we were renting, and that was what we really needed. So…...
