The Coffee Shop at Big Tasty's BBQ LLC — Restaurant in Town of Franklinville

This could be an amazing place, but the coffee knowledge and service is simply not up to standard. Improving in those areas would make this a 5 star shop.

After many visits, we really like the shop for the aesthetics and setting, especially for an area that has few options in terms of high quality food/drink. However, there are too many weird moments and poor quality issues to ignore.

Quick examples: Charging a super high fee for credit card transactions - though legal, it's tacky and easily avoided by averaging sales prices to cover transaction fees Making lattes from an automatic machine not suitable for - commercial use Incorrectly using syrups to make weird versions of drinks Not acknowledging or communicating with customers as they wait

Again, I am writing this because as a business owner I would want to know how people really feel so I could improve my business. This place is promising. A little more customer service effort and working hard on coffee knowledge/skills would take this place to 5 quickly. I hope to see it succeed and I look forward to...

The space inside and outside patio are both absolutely BEAUTIFUL and meticulously clean. Service is kind and the space is welcoming when you enter the space.

Unfortunately the coffee beverages, other than drip coffee, are made with a Nespresso style pod machine and are not authentic expresso beverages and are priced quite high for the resulting product that you receive. The posted pricing for all items is very strange as well, possibly to create round numbers when tax is included, and it causes confusion when your final bill is calculated. It calls to question why they don’t simply post the final rounded prices that have “tax included”.

My brother and I stopped here to check it out, I got cherry cheese danish and a iced macchiato with a shot of brown sugar cinnamon. My brother got a bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwhich and a cinnamon roll with a mocha. The food and coffee was good, we honestly didnt have super high hopes for a little small town shop but it exceeded expectations. I think the atmosphere and the staff is the best part about the place!
