This is not a sports bar even though the description says "Great for Games". Went there for a Bill's playoff game. Support a new business drove half an hour to get there.
Entire dining room was completely empty went to the bar area there were two or three people at the bar and one table with a couple at it. There was only one big TV and it was the only one with the bills pregame But it was only viewable from one table due to a huge blimp size light over the pool table (Should've been my first warning)... That table was taken by the one couple. They already had their meal So had been there at least half an hour. It was 5:50 pm.
Server came and I asked him if they were going to turn any other TVs on because we were there for the Bills playoff game the only other TV was way behind the bar and it had a San Fran. game on... I told him before I ordered that we were there to see the Bills game to make sure we wouldn't miss any and he was like "oh yeah what time is the game on?" (Should've been my second warning.)
Fast-forward 6:15 pm... When I got my salad I Nicely mentioned don't forget to turn that game on we only have 15 minutes... And acted OK thanks like he had forgotten.
6:25 He made eye contact with me from behind in the bar And it looked like he Cleaning glasses and I pointed up to the TV. He yelled over that he knew and he had to go pick up meals first.
6:30 The Only TV that had the pregame on was now switched to the San Fran game somehow . The Bills attired Customer from the table next to me which had been there for over an hour by now walked over to him as soon as he returned and started fiddling behind the bar AGAIN and told him this wasn't gonna happen again like it did the Last time they were there and they wanted the game ON now that had already started he started lipping back that it wasn't him last time and they were like oh yes it was it was totally you and this isn't going to happen again "nice try ". Still no game and he went on his way like no one had even talked to him about the TVs.
At this point I left and asked one of the waitresses in the empty dining room If she knew how to turn the TVs on which she didn't so I asked her to get a manager that could and told her that the gentleman in there would not turn them on.
6:40 A girl came out fiddled around with different remotes didn't know how to turn anything on came up to him who is immediately behind me waiting on a table What remotes worked for the TV nearest me. He told her exactly where it was and she turned my TV on and walked away. No volume.
We finished our meal and left at half time...At that time Only our small TV at the front of the bar and the TV obstructed behind the bar had the Bills game on the giant TV still had a different game on and three other TVs were turned off. Total vibe was ruined for everyone.
Food was OK
Will never be back.
It's a shame because I really love to support small business and we were up at the peak beforehand and could've just stayed in the lounge but went out of our way to come...
Read moreSo happy to have more options at the Peek. Too bad the Peek isn’t as supportive of this new business. All the other restaurants support each other there. Two women own it and one’s daughter served us. Love the family support. Anyway, the buns on those sandwiches are amazing. And lots of options. We’ve had the sandwiches, the entrees and the entree salads. All good. I have to take half the sandwich with me it’s so big. Service can be slow but we’re usually there to socialize so it’s not an issue. They need a better wine list. Definitely better to get a beer kind of place. It’s called Compass Point because the dishes are from all the world travels of the 2 owners. They have big plans for outside (beer garden) and in so I hope the community supports them. Great piece of property and...
Read morePlace is a dive. Had a big table of 11 people. Two of them were babies and one was a 5 year old. They brought out the 5 year olds chicken fingers piping hot and last after all the adults already had their meals on the table. So the 5 year old then had to wait even longer for his food to cool down enough to eat it. I ordered the Nashville Chicken sandwich and it was awful. Chicken was rubbery. At 8 pm they decided to run this obnoxiously loud vacuum in the dining area. Business hours said they were open until 1 or 2 am its not like we were holding them up from Closing and going home. All in all a bad experience and won't be going back...
