U W Wanderoos — Restaurant in Town of Garfield

Took over 2 1/2 hours for us to get our food and then when we did, we didn’t even get everything that the special included because the menu was a “typo” apparently. For $17, the special was suppose to include jumbo shrimp, shrimp scampi & walleye. Instead I got 7 shrimp. Very disappointing. If they knew it was a typo they could have mentioned something when we placed our order, they also could have said something about the expected wait time since nothing about the crowd level inside the bar suggested there would be a significant delay in service. Also, this place is a bar and they couldn’t even make my mother a margarita, they said they didn’t have a blender to blend it and then they said they didn’t have any mix to make her a margarita at all. Biggest mistake ever going here. The food tasted delicious at least and our waitress was amazing. I felt terrible for her that she was doing her absolute best to make everyone happy when everything was out of her control. After the long wait, I still had to bring my mom home and pick up my dogs and drive an hour back home to my house in Minnesota. We visited with a group of hockey parents and their kids, about 25 of us. We called ahead and notified them of this. There was a benefit being held there as well. There were roughly 15 people in the bar when we arrived. We were very lucky we had a lot of time because we ordered our food and it took about 55 minutes to receive our food. When we got our food it was very warm and looked great. However the burgers were very over cooked and my buffalo chicken sandwich was very basic, not what I was expecting.

The prices were very reasonable. I might try the place again, however I'd make sure it was a small group like me and my wife just because I liked the dive...

Have eaten here several times but tonight did not provide the same experience, normally the place is packed so a lower standard of service is expected, but tonight there were only 2 tables and maybe 10 people at the bar and the service was worse then I've had when the place is packed. Food is always great, but tonight that even fell short, I order grilled chicken and got crispy, ordered seasoned sour cream that I never got, and was only checked on once the entire 1.5 hours we were in there, it's sad because it cost them money, if we would have been checked on we definitely would of had a few...
