Just showed up. There’s 9 of us. There are at most 4 customers inside. No one seated outdoors. We were turned away because we exceeded 6 people. We came in 2 separate cars…5 minutes apart. We said we can sit in 2 different tables outdoors away from each other but they said that since they already know there’s more than 6 of us, they can’t seat us. This is our 5th winery this week at the Fingerlakes and everyone has this policy but no one enforces it. In fact, there’s normally 11 of us total! It is too bad because we are celebrating our parents’ 50th wedding anniversary and we wanted to try out their wine. We asked to have just 1 glass of wine for one of the members of our party to try and they wouldn’t accommodate us. It’s ok…plenty of wineries around. We can take our money and business elsewhere.

We had a wonderful time at Ravines, another beautiful Finger Lakes region winery. We called a day in advance, and easily secured a tasting. Completely understandable why they ask for reservations. The approach up to the property had an extra bonus of an apple orchard that was great photos. The property itself, what 100+ year old barn was beautiful to look at and a perfect spot for tasting. Our tasting guides were knowledgeable and friendly and we’re generous with the pores. We sample the number of wines and took a few home. Appreciated their thoughtfulness and care In describing the wines we selected. All in all a great experience. Do not let a few unhappy reviewers spoil your coming to this place. They are definitely worth your stop.

What a lovely winery! We visited this place Wednesday morning and took the first wine tasting reservation spot at 10 am. It was quiet and the barn setting overlooking the winery through the large window was simply beautiful and picturesque. I visited popular wineries in Finger Lakes over the years and Ravines is now on my favorite list. Servers were friendly and attentive and we had the best time here. Can’t wait to come back again!

Unfortunately I cannot comment on the wines as I never got to try them. My wife and I were on a ride on a rainy day in the area and having hears good things about Ravines we decided to stop in. First mistake was not having a reservation. The huge old barn was serving two other couples. Our 2nd mistake was having our 6 lb blind canine companion with us, we were told that dogs were only allowed outside. They offered a tasting on the porch which we accepted. We were seated and in short time one of the 3 staff, waiting on all 6 of us, brought us a wine flight choice list and opening taste of a Bubbly Reisling. We waited another 15 minutes and no one came out to take our flight order. We left. Absolutely the worst customer service experience we have ever had at any Finger Lakes winery.

I am very disappointed in your reply. First we had accepted your dog policy even though previous reviews clearly show large dogs in the barn. Our 7 lb Yorkie Poodle must have been terrorizing. Second we saw 3 staff in the tasting room and the one that greeted us went to question a manager regarding the dog. At the time we walked in there were 4 other guests in the bar, two of whom left several minutes before we did. To only have 3 staff to wait on the remaining 4 of us must have been a terrible workload.

A simple "Sorry and we hope you visit again so we can truly show you our wines and the importance of satisfied customers", would have served much better than an excuse filled reply that implies my review is not factual. Your reply cements my opinion of your value of customer satisfaction. We are frequent visitors to the Finger Lakes, love the wines and terroir and always promote the area to fellow wine lovers in our travels. Your indifference to your service and reply to the honest review will ensure that we do not visit again. The Finger Lakes have many wineries that offer excellence in both the wines and customer satisfaction and we will choose to spend our time and money with...

The charcuterie , as mentioned in other comments, the portions are very small, it almost looks ridiculous, it would be better that they charged more. The quality is fine, but not as good to justify them, basically is overpriced and small. I personally didn't like any wine, or my husband, the tasting is more expensive than one bottle, staff is pretentious but not knowledgeable, everything they said during the tasting was "what do you think"?.When I asked for some grapes, they didn't know what I was talking about or if they had them. There are much better wine areas nearby, honestly priced, less touristy, warmer and with knowledgeable staff, don't go to finger lakes.. in general, there is this "attitude" around and its not even really that special. You can see the winery denying the testimony of customers and trying to minimize their opinions, I was there, what is told by the customers is true at least on regards of what I mentioned. On regards to your reply: I am not surprised that you find "impossible" to answer, in your replies you seem to be disconnected of what happens in your venue and to be more focus on insulting than been constructive. You would have noticed there are several and recent complaints about your charcuterie plate, any reader can see it in the reviews. About the tasting, I think we were charged for $20 dollars ( but I cant really tell for sure, Ill give you that) and you have bottles for around $18, so your insults are towards your own wine. I enjoy any wine as far as I find it good, despite the price (affordable or expensive), I would rather buy a bottle of European wine for the prices and "experience" that you offer. Finally, "wherever I am from" ? Well, readers what to say, yes? here "customer service" of Ravine wines!. Do they still think they need to ask me not to go back? lol. you guys are convinced that you are reaaally special. Why exactly would I like to leave any of my...

The wines are no doubt exceptional (which is why I decided to join the Wine club). However, I had a MUCH better experience with the the serving staff at the Keuka Lake location last month. My husband and I were there on Saturday Feb 11, 2017. The woman who served us did not seem to care at all when I told her we were new wine club members. She was pretty adamant that I was not going to get more than 5 tastes. It was just weird that when we first got to the bar she asked if we would like to try the Riesling. We said sure. So then when it was time to pick our 5 choices she said more than once remember you already tried the riesling. I did not feel it was necessary to mark the Riesling on the paper but I think she was trying to make sure I didn't select an extra taste! Good grief! They were not so picky at the Keuka Lake location. My husband had to tell her THREE TIMES that he would have whatever I selected. She also nagged her co-worker (male) about not having a bottle of something ready for her. She was annoyed that she got to the end of a bottle and was blaming him for not having another bottle opened and ready. The last bit of annoyance was that my last taste was going to be the Brut but while she got busy with another couple we walked over to sample some of the delicious cheeses. Well apparently she poured my Brut and left it on the counter and when I got back she thought I already had the Brut and made me feel uncomfortable about asking her for it. Overall it was just an odd experience where we did not feel comfortable there. Next time we go we will most definitely go to a...
