Elkhorn Lodge — Restaurant in Town of Gordon

Some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced, and I have been around the world. You would assume a small town eatery would have some good ole country service but not the case here. If your not a familiar face or drinking alcohol, don't count on being treated fairly. Some members at my table had intended on ordering the special, which was prime rib, and were told that they were out. Approximately an hour and half later the food arrived, mind you, there was only one other table eating in the restaurant, another "known" party ordered the prime rib without difficulty. The food on the menu isn't exactly as served and is way over priced for the quality. All in all I highly recommend avoiding this place and bringing groceries if you're staying in the area.

I'm sure the five star review was posted by the restaurant, judging by the text, no one writes like that about a place. Unethical if...

We went here on the recommendation of a friend that has been for the AYCE crab legs.

We arrived as soon as dinner started at 5. The place quickly filled up. They don't take reservations.

Service and food were great!

I had the AYCE crab legs, homemade French onion soup and garlic mashed potatoes. Didn't ask but automatically brought me more crab legs!! I am a French onion soup snob. It was very good.

My husband had the smoked prime rib, homemade French fries and a salad. The salad was huge! Both meals also came with broccoli which was overcooked.

We both left stuffed.

We saw and smelled the pizza at other tables. It looked delicious.

Daquari was the drink special. Yummy.

The only complaint was air conditioning wasn't sufficient to cool the place. We both were sweating as we ate.

We will be back! Looking forward to trying...

We walked in, hoping to have some lunch after our hike in copper falls and no one spoke to us at all. There was a girl seated at the bar that looked at us and ignored our question of whether we sat ourselves or not and then there were two others in the kitchen that looked at us but didn’t say anything either. We waited for a couple minutes just in case someone else would come out, but no one did. Honestly was the worst place in the area. Usually people are relatively helpful when you enter their establishment, but that is not the case with this place.
