Took my lovely wife to dinner here for our second anniversary and they delivered beyond what I would expect out of a restaurant, the staff and waitresses are extremely professional and friendly, they helped me out when I needed to bring items in advance to set the scene and they really helped make the night so wonderful and special! Now the food, oh my gosh the food... It is beyond phenomenal and words can't begin to describe how delicately crafted the food is and how mouthwatering and perfect each dish they serve is. There is definitely love and passion incorporated into every single dish they serve. DO NOT let the prices deter you as it is beyond worth a great price for the impressive quality food they serve. We ordered the risotto balls, walnut salmon and the chicken parmesan and finished off with a gelato to share. Even the hand crafted specialty gelato was a delicacy that lives in my memories. This is the place to go and will always be my first choice in Italian and fine dinning. I would give them 10 stars if I could ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I have lived off Fetzner Rd most of my life and had never been to the lamplighter, until tonight. I was out with my aunt, who hadn’t been here in 40years, and she suggested we grab dinner here. I immediately felt underdressed about the situation but our sever, Holly, said it was a very comfortable and casual atmosphere and not to worry. (My aunt of course immediately says ā€œare we dressed ok?!ā€ When we walk in because I was self conscious about my hoodie and sneaker šŸ˜…) Despite such a comfortable and casual approach the atmosphere was still so charming and cozy. Holly also provided 5 star fine dining service! As a bartender and former server I can appreciate the attention to detail while never being up tight. I ordered the gnocchi and my aunt got the chicken French. We also split a bottle of Mark West Pinot noir and really enjoyed the fresh, hot bread. 10/10 experience , I can’t believe I haven’t been here sooner and can’t wait to return!

Approaching my hotel I noticed the icon for this restaurant in a strip mall and I quickly called to verify dining in was available with the latest COVID requirements. Opening the front door I noticed that the bar was quite busy with likely a very local crowd but I the only one in the main restaurant section. Amanda quickly appeared and took my order. Started off with a perfect side Caesar salad with anchovies, a soft but warm round roll to dip in an amazing small bowl of olive oil with balsamic, minced garlic and Parmesan. The main course was a perfect pasta Bolognese with sausage and pork and the perfect amount of cheese of top. An all around outstanding dining experience for a great price and I will absolutely return at the next pass through town.

The LampLighter is on Fetzner Rd, in Creekside Plaza, on the corner with Maiden Lane. You are not likely to go there for the first time on a whim. Its location is not on a major road, or somewhere else that gets a lot of traffic for shopping and entertainment. This is shame, as the LampLighter is a wonderful place with good service, tasty food, and fine drinks.

Yesterday the wife and I went there for dinner. We started the dinner with perfectly made Manhattan cocktails. Warm rolls and spiced olive oil were soon brought to the table. The oil was wonderful, and we did not leave a drop of it in its serving bowl.

Our appetizer was a savory "Sampler Platter for 2" which had spicy calamari, clams casino, and arancini. It was served hot, and we enjoyed it all.

Because we have been married for so long that our tastes have merged into one, we both ordered the special, which was seafood Portofino. The dish included lobster, shrimp, scallops, and artichoke hearts over linguini in a white wine butter sauce. It was delicious. The portion size was perfect: we had plenty to eat but did not have to cart around containers of left-overs for the remaining part of our night out.

There were several tempting desert choices, and we split a piece of carrot cake. The carrot cake was moist and flavorful. The icing was a delight, and there was not so much of it on the cake as to overwhelm the other flavors.

We frequent the LampLighter several times per year, and they...

Lamplighter is a very special restaurant to me - it was where I had my wedding rehearsal dinner many years ago. My husband and I make an effort to attend whenever they are serving their German menu, which I found out is now only served in October. Last week, my husband and I took our little toddler there to celebrate an anniversary, and as always we had a lovely time.

Their French onion soup was absolutely delicious, and even our toddler enjoyed a few bites. The crab bisque and calamari were excellent - my husband particularly loved the spicy kick added to the calamari. My husband also loved his Bolognese entree, though I was a little disappointed in the seafood special that I ordered (I can't remember the name - it wasn't bad, just a little boring, needed more lemon/acid). I should have ordered my usual walnut encrusted salmon - that dish is to die for.

For dessert, their creme brulee was perfection though the flourless chocolate torte was a little dry. Overall, a wonderful dining experience. I can't wait for October to come for the return of their...

We used to get takeouts from here frequently a few years back and always good. So we said hey it’s been a few years since we tried lamplighter so let’s go for dinner. Seated right away and greeted by a very nice waitress (forget name - red hair). Wine was good. Soup was very good. As for the chicken French the worst, breading fell off the underside of the chicken and virtually no taste. No wine no lemon no taste. When you can’t make chicken French, I’m worried about the other items on the menu. Owner was friendly but walked away during a conversation and never said excuse me. Also another lady not a waitress (possibly restaurant manager) looked at us then looked away and never asked how the meal was. Kinda strange vibe going on. To be honest the highlight of our meal was our waitress.

Reply to owner: Tuesday night, waitress did come back and asked how the meal was, told her it was good, it definitely was you the owner and your chicken French might be delicious but that night it needed help. But after reading your reply not sure if my...
