If you haven’t been to Green Hill Cafe in Greenville, NY, stop what you’re doing and go—this place is the definition of a hidden gem! In my opinion, this is hands down the best pizza anywhere in the area. The sauce is absolutely incredible: the perfect balance of fresh tomatoes, garlic, and basil that hits every note just right. The pizza itself is cooked to perfection—not overdone, not underdone—just that ideal crisp yet soft bite that dreams are made of. The crust? Flavorful and airy, clearly made with quality ingredients (none of that cheap, bland stuff you get elsewhere).
I also tried their garden salad, which was crisp, vibrant, and fresh, and their stuffed shells were pure comfort food bliss. Generous portion size, served with a garden salad and—wait for it—an entire loaf of warm, garlicky bread that could win awards all on its own.
Here’s the twist that makes this spot even more unique: alongside their phenomenal pizza and Italian dishes, they also offer Pakistani and Indian cuisine. Yes, you read that right. Their chicken biryani? Absolute perfection. The spice level is balanced beautifully—not overpowering, but enough to make your taste buds dance. It’s the kind of dish you think about days later.
What ties it all together is the atmosphere: this is a family-run business where you’re greeted with a big smile and a warm “hello” the second you walk through the door. It feels personal, like you’re visiting old friends who just happen to be amazing cooks.
If you’re anywhere near Greenville, this is the place to be. Whether you’re craving pizza, pasta, or biryani (or all three—no judgment here), Green Hill Cafe will make you happy you came hungry.

Read moreThe old greenhill, we once loved, is gone. Use to be a warm, welcoming local spot. Now its a cold shell, of what it once was.
Ordered a pie, a week after it changed owners. The pie was close, to what was expected.
Two weeks later, I order a chicken parm hero. The taste was still there, but it was not the same hero. It use to be a whole hero bread, with huge pieces of chicken cutlets, from end to end. Now, they pack it with sauce and cheese, and slice up small pieces of chicken cutlets. There's very little chicken and mostly sauce and cheese.
Went back two months later for a chicken parmesan dinner and pizza. The blue cheese salad dressing, was not the same. No large pieces of blue cheese in it. Garlic bread had garlic powder and not enough oil. Dry. Not the garlic sauce we were use to. Chicken parm dinner, had about a half a pound of ziti and sauce, with a very small chicken cutlet, hidden underneath. About a third of what it use to be. The sauce was horrible. Tasted like canned sauce, with sugar added. The pizza was horrible. I've had better at gas stations.
Bathroom was dirty. They also jacked all the prices up. So you'll get less, pay more and like it. Frank...
Read moreMy wife and I stopped in on our way back to Middleburgh. We wanted a quick bite but didn't expect much other then a basic slice. We were greeted warmly and decided to sit and eat in instead of taking it to go. I always make a mess of myself when I eat and drive. I ordered three (3) cheese slices with anchovies and my wife ordered a chef salad. Her salad was HUGE!!! This made her smile as we did not expect much. The best part was my pizza! The flavor was full, and zesty!! THATS THE WAY PIZZA USED TO BE!! Being from the NYC area we have been complaining how all the pizza taste the same in the Metro area with few exceptions. This pizza was very, very good. I talked about it all the way home. I am looking forward to...
