It was a warm Monday afternoon and we just wanted a quick bite and some ice cream. We arrived about 4:45 so it wasnāt busy but when we tried to order food, we were told we would have to wait for the two people behind us to order ice cream. That was fine, but then two more people came in and they had to be waited on before she would take our food order. Then a woman came up to the window, asking directions to the Guilderland traffic court, and she also needed to be accommodated before she would take our food order. Fortunately my husband knew where it was so he helped the woman looking for directions. We almost left then and I wish we had. We each ordered chili dog and a small cup of macaroni salad. My hotdog was actually cold inside. The chili tasted like something out of a can. When I complained about the hotdog, she offered to take 20% off. We were still shocked when our bill was over $27 for two hotdogs, two macaroni salads and two dishes of ice cream. When we ask, we were told she could not give us a receipt, but she read out the prices and it turns out that the macaroni salad was $3.50, for what appeared to be 2 ounces of macaroni salad in one of those small condiment cups like you get at fast food places. We wonāt be going back and this hurts me to say because we were one of the first customers when Tim Coughtry opened the place several years ago. I understand the new owners are family, but the quality of both the food and the service has really gone downhill. I would not recommend this place and I used to send...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDuckpond farms is fantastic. Located on a major intersection, you wouldn't know what you were missing if you passed this place by. Outside there are plenty of picnic tables and a gazebo! Inside the place is very rustic and cute, with relics from days gone by. My kids loves the antique gumball dispenser and refrigerator as well as the working phone booth (also an antique I guess by now eh?) I had a BLT to start and then the peanut butter ice cream with chocolate sauce and whipped cream. Both portions were plentiful and truly enjoyable. Would go again on a heartbeat for lunch OR ice cream. Only open until the...

We had the Coconut Almond in a single sugar cone. Generous scoop with ice cream right down to the last bite of cone. Twenty dollars approximately for the two of us ordering sandwich, coffee and ice cream cone. Friendly staff who know their regulars on a first name basis and had a full shop shortly after we arrived. This place is an absolute gem!! We'll...
