Northern Traders Market — Restaurant in Town of Hadley

The plants and gift shop are first rate and I bought some impatiens and clay pots to put them in on my porch. Second time back we tried the food. Didn’t try the brisket because they ran out but did sample a few others. The best thing was the pulled pork which was cooked correctly and was the right texture. They didn’t bury the meat in barbecue sauce…which made the meat stand out. I’m not a big fan of piles of sauce so this was PERFECT. Also tried the Phillie cheese steak. The meat was decent but the orange cheesy wiz was not what I’m used to (although I understand some places use it.) I was expecting melted provolone. Also tried the fried mushrooms as a side but they were super greasy inside and not appetizing so I wouldn’t get them again. I’d go back to try the brisket and eat another pulled pork.The staff was great and I’d really like to see this business do well. Lake Luzerne and Hadley have a real shortage of food options and we need to encourage everyone of them. This is their first year of business as they opened in May ‘24. Plants A++…Food A- and...

Pristine Location with excellent service. Foodies with love the clean and simple execution of higher quality ingredients. The fries were hot and clrispy with perfect seasoning, as was the burger. No extra ketchup was needed. The perfext thin slice on the white onion, and the tomato and reg leaf were as fresh as you can get.

The blue cheese is creamy and mild, perfect if you never tried it .

There was an unusually high quality of food attention to detail on ingredients and cook time. I'm a Traveling Chef from the Culinary Institute of America and I only review and compliment a restaurant if I truly mean it.

Veteran friendly...

Stopped in for the first time with our dog since it was outside with a food truck and was quickly told that it was not dog friendly.

Update- I was in picking up a few items inside. When my spouse let the dog out. He did ask if the food truck was opened could he bring our Goldendoodle and you responded that you would prefer no dogs as some pet owners are not responsible and do not pick up after them and let them on the table etc. We are very responsible dog owners, since no dogs were allowed of course he left and put him back in the car.
