One stop I recommend you make when traveling on Route 97 in New York. A cute ice cream parlor offering a large assortment of delicious ice cream. I had the French Roast coffee flavored ice cream with a scoop of their delicious chocolate ice cream with chocolate sprinkles for less than four dollars. Both flavors were outstanding and worth the price. Please note their ice cream is not made at The Cow Lick, instead they offer Perry's Ice Cream, New York's very own ice cream brand. Based in Akron New York, Perry's Ice Cream has been manufacturing ice cream for more than 100 years, and they have technique down to a science. The staff at The Cow Lick are super friendly, and go beyond expectations to ensure customer satisfaction. There are picnic tables with a canopy on the right hand side if you to quickly enjoy your ice cream. There are days on the weekend, depending on the time of day, you'll see a line of eager ice cream fanatics waiting patiently to buy their portion. Ample parking is available, plus there's a unisex bathroom available. Enjoy ☺️

I was on my way to reload my truck and I decided to stop at Cow Lick ice cream, that is where I met Kathy, truely one of the nicest people I have ever met. I soon realized I left my wallet in my car back in New Hampshire, all I had was about 3 dollars in change, kathy looked at me, smiled and said don't worry about it, you just order whatever you like, we'll let me tell you the vanilla caramel sundae was delicious! I was shocked and sooooooo grateful for her generosity to me, a complete stranger ! I hope you will stop by and have a cone or sundae, you won't be disappointed, and please let kathy know Bob the trucker says hey!

They serve Perry's hard ice cream. And they also serve soft serve ice cream. They have cone options as well as cups. Many different flavors, from plain vanilla to Kahlua amaretto, Birthday bash, pistachio, cannoli flavor ice cream. With Strawberry, hot fudge, caramel, butterscotch toppings and more! Picture is kids size birthday bash with chocolate sprinkles and eyes.

Great little ice cream stop. I go there at least twice each year when visiting Hancock for the Quarry Run Dual Sport. This year, I was done for the Saturday ride and made a stop. They have Perry's so I had to get my favorite, Rocky Mountain Raspberry. Before I left I asked if they could sell me a roll of quarters so I could wash my bike but they didn't have enough change. Instead, one of the nicest ladies behind the counter offered me some quarters from her purse. And she wouldn't let me pay her for them. She had the cutest freckles too. Way over the top nice. This is a must visit...
