Mac-A-Doodles — Restaurant in Town of Harpersfield

I've eaten here many times, even back when it was the size of a toolshed stuck up by the autoparts store. Since then their menu has expanded from just ice cream, to dinner and lunch fare too. The ice cream sizes are still just as big, and the food is fresh, hot, and tastes great. I like the atmosphere/asthetic of the place, and the staff are awesome too!

The reason I gave four stars instead of five, is that some of the railings outside are coming loose, especially by the stairs along ny-23. If a handicapped person were to rely on these and they shifted to the side or broke loose, that person could fall and get hurt.

EDIT: those railings have been repaired, and secured much better :) changed...

This place is AMAZING. Seriously, I love icecream and wasn't let down with this place. There are A TON of options to choose, from hard and soft icecream to all the toppings! They also have a huge selection of flurries (which I cant wait to come back and try).

The prices are reasonable and the portions are pretty large. The soft icecream was really rich in flavor which was awesome on a hot day. It wasn't busy when I was there however they were quick in getting us our orders.

There was a nice covered are to sit, with fans and a TV. They also have a seating area outside with 2 propane fireplaces which would be nice for cooler nights.

Used to like this place but don't anymore. The only halfway decent thing here is maybe the burgers and chicken wraps. The fries are so extremely salted that they are difficult to eat, all you taste is the overpowering salt the entire meal, gross! The hard ice cream comes in tiny "scoops" - 2 scoops are more like 2 spoonfuls. We spent close to $40 for barely any food and a tiny amount of ice cream. Not worth it. Customer service is also just meh, kinda abrupt and rude but not horrible. Skip the fries and ice cream, only get the burger, or go...
