On our way back from bayfield Wisconsin we decided to take a detour and stop at this restaurant. I'm really glad we did. After reading the article from the beef Wisconsin beef council, we stop by some time. Well, today was the day. My family and I ordered the All-American Burger, the cowboy from Hell Burger, and the MBBC burger. They were all cooked to our order and full of flavor. I can speak for the sandwich the cowboy from hell. It was spicy but not overwhelming. They make their own chips with a parmesan salt something else sweet I couldn't figure out. French fries were cooked to perfection. In the atmosphere was great people were very nice. The wait staff was on the ball and very attentive. We were lucky and got there when they opened so it was not so busy. Sounds like the can get busy and like any other good restaurants you will have to be patient. It's off the beaten path but a beautiful drive especially with the leaves changing. I cannot wait to make this a normal stop when going up north. I recommend making me stop and having a delicious burger with a cold beer or an old fashioned. Shout out to Matt the chef who I caught dancing in the kitchen while making our food. Like I said it's a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went with a friend on a Wednesday for lunch. We saw in the local paper how good the food was. When we got there, we were told we had to sit at the bar, which isn't bad in itself, but the person I was with wasn't comfortable sitting and eating shoulder to shoulder with strangers. When he reached maximum uncomfortable status, I went to cancel the order we had just placed and said we needed to leave. The owner or manager decided to argue with me saying that we shouldn't leave and a table would open up. There were a couple of six person tables open, but nobody was allowed to sit there. The two person tables (there was like 2) were occupied. I didn't want to argue, we just wanted to leave. Other customers then chimed in that if we didn't like it we could leave... Which is what we were attempting to do. It didn't need to be an argument and we were told that we were "on vacation and that's not what you should expect to here"... We're local. When I go to a restaurant, I expect to have the bar as an option for seating, not the only place to sit... I also don't expect to argue about...

Since winning the "Best Burger in Wisconsin" trophy, business has picked up for them and the place is quite busy. You'll more than likely have to wait for a spot at the bar or a table. I suggest having a few beers and make some new friends.
We've go to Pickle's regularly now, mainly for dinner. Be sure to ask for the available soups and burger/sandwich specials. The food here is truly top-notch and will surprise you in a good way.
My top recommended: Smoked Reuben Chicken Fingers and fries with "Pick-fil-A" sauce (not a child sized portion) Fried Pickles with ranch Cheese curds with spicy ranch Absolutely any burger
Friday fish fry. Honestly, one of the best I've had up here. Excellent value.
The prices are very reasonable and the staff is stupendous and probably some of the most hospitable people I know. Everyone gets greeted when they come in the door. Eat at the bar or wait for one of the few tables in the...
