A casual Long Island classic serving all kinds of seafood as well as beer/wine options located beautifully right on the water. I was disappointed they didn't have several menu items available during my visit in June, including soft shell crab. The menu items were hit and miss: calamari was overcooked and underseasoned, but the fish and chips and popcorn shrimp were excellent. The location has a wrap around "porch" that traverses behind the window where you order food, so if you're not sitting directly in front of the window visible to the staff, you may be forgotten about for a while until your server does a full walkthrough--at least, that was my personal experience. Would like to see the location be a full walk-up window/self-service only with buzzers when your food is ready rather than trying to straddle between casual and typical dine-in. Bottom line: good seafood,...
Read moreMy daughter and her boyfriend ate here on Tuesday night and enjoyed it. So my wife and I went on Wednesday night. It's outside dining on a deck near the water.
First you wait for or find a table. Then you look at the menu then go up front to order. Tonight there was one (new, first night!) young lady taking orders and taking payment. Then there was only one young man working as the waiter, running around like crazy.

My wife had the grilled fish tacos which she enjoyed but thinks it had jarred salsa in it, not fresh.
They lost the 5th star only for the amount of time it took to get our order.
Next time, I want to try one of the fried...
Read moreThe water views and ambience here are great. That’s the plus! The downside is the overpriced food. The last time I was there I ordered the lobster roll, but unfortunately it came with a long dark hair on it. I showed our waitress who immediately apologized and took it back. She said she’ll have them make them another one. She comes back with what I think is another sandwich, I glanced down just as I’m about to take my first bite and I see another hair, a black one this time! Our waitress took the sandwich off my bill and again apologized profusely. She asked if I wanted something else, but after that my appetite was gone and I couldn’t eat anything else. My three stars are for the views and the service. The hygiene of the kitchen staff and the food are questionable.
Sadly Crabby Amy’s is no more…building collapsed from fire...
