Sand Beach — Restaurant in Town of Highland

The bar and the beach are great. The environment is great as well... Very laid back and comfortable. However, my family and I went for the 4th of July and saw the fireworks there and I was very, very, disappointed with the firework show. If they fix the fireworks show for next year, I would give a full 5 star rating. The only reason I gave a 4 star is the firework show. Because the rest of the year I'm sure they are 5 star. But that really disappointed me. It was my daughter's 1st 4th of July and the 1st time she ever seen fireworks and I wanted it to be great. She enjoyed it, but I feel she could've had a better experience. The breaks in between were ridiculously long and there were not that many fireworks to begin with all together. The whole thing was way to broken up and longer than it needed to be and I felt that my daughter became bored and then was to tired to enjoy it. It...

The place is lots of fun. Go for a swim. Have a drink. Have some bar food that is delicious. Maybe catch a band. VERY casual. You can wear anything. People are in bathing suits. Smoking is allowed outdoors, I enjoyed a cigar with my bourbon.

The band we saw was The Side F/X band who we have gone to see other places. I got the hot wings, and my wife did as well! I wish I thought of taking a picture but I was too busy eating lol. Part of the reason was I was STARVING because honestly, it took a loooong time to get our food. Don't get me wrong, I don't blame them for that. It is very difficult right now for restaurants, and really any business, to get help. Only one type of sauce for the HUGE wings. Seriously, biggest wings you will find anywhere. August 22 2012, my self my two kids My girlfriend her 3 kids 4th was unailable all decided to find somewhere local that had a beach. Never thought we would find something so beautiful and secluded. we brought 2 cars and a bunch of the kids friends and it was a day we all will remember. Calm water beautiful view great finger food and family atomoshere. Didnt want to leave, thinking of revising this year around the same date for my birthday.
