So Good Ice Cream — Restaurant in Town of Homer

**Update: Sadly, Mike, the proprietor of this establishment when it was called Super Scoops was forced out by local powers-that-be who now sell ice cream here under a different name. IMO, they ruined the place. Globbed garish paint on it. Took away the sunshade umbrellas and put picnic tables by the noisy road where customers used to line up by the dozen. Not anymore because they also quadrupled the prices while switching to less good wares. The ice cream used to be truly delicious, especially the soft serve. Now it’s just… meh. Not "so good." Mike was a good guy who worked super hard and cared about his customers. He got a raw deal. Even so, if the ice cream was good we would still go here as it’s a few minutes walk from our house. But it’s not good, so we don’t.

This was my old review for Super Scoops: Family owned and run window-service ice cream shop. Friendly. Cheap prices. Out of this world tasty ice cream. Huge portions. Shaded picnic tables out back....

I’m alittle upset. I brought my residents from my job here tonight and they were all excited because they saw the pictures on your fancy sundaes online. Just to find out that we didn’t get anything close to what the sundaes looked like online. And when I asked your employees. They said I don’t know what you’re talking about. Very disappointed and will not be...

Very well set up and nice looking place, however, that's about the only good thing about it. The employees were nice but seemingly forgot about our order and kept getting mixed up and making the wrong thing. There are also no prices displayed and employees did not know the prices when asked. Ice cream was okay but over priced. There are better ice cream places...
