IF YOU HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES, AVOID - I've eaten here before and it was ok - never amazing but solid little diner. Just came here with a friend who is gluten intolerant and it turns out they just....don't care? believe in? food allergies? at all? They don't know what allergens are in different foods and didn't want to check the labels on the things they buy frozen and pre-prepped. Waitress "went to check" but literally came back ten seconds later with "yeah, there's no coating on the fries" when we're literally looking at the coating on them (concern was because a lot of seasoning coatings have a flour base to help them stick to the fries).

Friend ate around the suspect fries but is currently in the bathroom - her second trip since she stopped eating, so yes, there was probably flour on the fries and maybe even on the steak seasoning for stomach issues to hit that hard and that fast. Fortunately, she's only gluten intolerant, so she's gonna be really REALLY unhappy for a bit but will be ok - but if this was a peanut allergy or something more serious, we'd be in the ER right now.

Also, the mayo had gone bad and freakin curdled on my plate like cottage cheese. Ew.

UPDATE: It's now been a whole 2-3 hours and all three of us are having tummy issues, but I have learned from ranting to people during our afternoon errands that this diner doesn't need to do any better than it currently is because they have a deal with one of the local finger lakes tour bus operators, so one-time-only paying customers are brought to them by the actual busload. Personally I think the only thing more miserable that having mild food poisoning would be having it on a tour bus while on vacation....but I guess no one has told the...

Went there for breakfast this morning and food was great waitress was nice. Went up to pay and were talking about coming back again but then changed our minds when the lady (not our waitress) came up to cash us out. She rolled her eyes when my husband said to run it as credit and then was rude and afterwards goes "just so you know this is a debit card for future reference." and rolled her eyes again. Yes, it's a debit/credit card.. who cares? We'd let it go but this was the SECOND time this same lady was rude to us. A couple weeks ago, I placed an online order and they called me right after it was placed asking if it was meant for there? I said yes, went through my order again and was told 15-20 minutes. When I went in to pick it up she was very rude and was like we're not supposed to be taking online orders. (Okay, then take it off your website?) I apologized for the inconvenience and she didn't do anything but roll her eyes (that must be her thing). She asked if I had proof I paid and told her I'd have to go get my phone for the e-mail when I brought it in and showed her, yet again rolled her eyes and said the owner would probably be contacting me later to know more about this? (Know about what? Your website says order online and it went through, what's to know?) Either way she huffed and gave me my order and walked away.. After that and today, unfortunately I think I'm done with this place because I don't want to run into her and her...

Disappointed to say the least! We have been going here for quite some time. This last experience was it for us! Went in got seated drinks given us per usual. Order was taken took a little while which was understanding. When the waitress came out with our food she forgot butter my son’s pancake (no big deal) said she would be back came back when the pancake was nearly cold. Husband asked for coffee fill up waitress never returned! His “home fries” were nasty and hard. Waitress never returned the whole meal. When we were finished we waited for at least 15 minutes for a box as our son was getting antsy (he is only a year old) I was ready to leave without the box. Finally went up to pay (very unusual for us) however we didn’t not tip very well due to the food and service. We used a credit card signed it with $50. Later that day got a statement from my bank stating it was $80!!! I called immediately manager wasn’t available gave name and number called back next day due to no call yet again manager not available. Gave my name and number again for her to call, no call we are going on 4 days now with no call. They can keep their money but will NEVER return! Furious is an understatement!!! Poor business! Server...

My first time here and the place was very clean & roomy! I had the “Elvis Pancakes” and they were delicious and HUGE (see my picture). You get a taste of peanut butter in every bite! Lots of small bits of bacon as well. The banana on top is a nice touch. You don’t really need much syrup. My wife had eggs, sausage, toast, and 1 regular pancake. The sausage was bland but everything else was good. Negative = Wife asked for onions in her home fries as did I for my hash browns. They charged us EACH $1.50 for the added onions! Ridiculous! We’ll be going back try the beer battered fish fry on a Friday.

We were traveling through the area and were looking for a diner / smaller (non-chain) restaurant. We stumbled upon Hilltop and decided to try it out. We were seated fairly quick and ordered the chicken parm sandwich (on special) along with the garlic knots. It was plenty for the (2) of us to share. The chicken was close to overcooked (very crispy). The garlic knots were nice and fluffy and came with oil and tomatoe sauce for dipping. Nice little stop if you are hungry and driving by. Nothing fancy, but good food and service.

Not bad but not amazing. Service was OK, very nice waitress but didn’t pay much attention to us was busy talking to other customers she knew. Very good prices. Crispy hash browns and bacon. Would have been a 4/5 if the bread was better. I got the breakfast sandwich and added the hash browns myself.
