Look this isn't the Ritz, its a small resort with about 6 hotel type rooms and two cabins. I've have stayed at this resort several times for fishing and last year we booked most of the resort for a family get together. My mother is picky as are several of my other family members so I was really nervous inviting everyone. My wife won't admit it but she is a bit of a hotel snob as well. I am happy to say that everyone was very happy with the accommodations. The cleanliness has seemed to improve of late which makes a HUGE difference. Diane is I believe the manager and is always happy and friendly and when were there felt like a true guest. On one visit I was launching my boat at the resort and the guy cutting the lawn asked if he could help and backed me in. The rooms are small with two double beds, we all brought our own bedding and pillows. The three rooms facing the water all have cement patios with picnic tables and brand new charcoal grills but we brought our own grill. The two bedroom cabin was very clean, I was waiting for my mom to complain but she really liked it. Great views of the lake and we had campfires in the fire pit every night. In a nut shell as long as this resort continues on the upward trend of cleaning these rooms and cabins this is a great place to stay. I'm excited to say my family said they all wanted to come back again next year! IN fact I'm gong back this weekend for a...

Read moreStopped in here while on our Crazy 8 tour collecting "stamps." When we walked through the door it was as if we had walked into the living room of some strangers house in the middle of a family potluck. And were not invited. Outside of the grouchy bartender, it was hard to distinguish who were the employees and those that may or may not have been employees. It just seemed everyone there did what they wanted to take care of each other. I will say the people were very kind and generous to our kids in letting them jump in to the buffet/potluck they had. The kids were hungry after being on the trail and there was not much in terms of food, it was very kind of them to let our kids join in. Overall, unless you are on the trail, looking to warm up or in need of a drink, I would keep going. Bar was dirty, bathrooms were horrendous and like I said, the bartender was in no mood to be messed with, let alone be pleasant to the patrons visiting the...
