Greenlawn Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Huntington

My friend lives about 5 minutes from this restaurant, so I have been there a few times. Matter of fact; was just there last night for dinner. One of the specials was short ribs with mashed potatoes. Yummmm. Came in this huge dish that reminded me of a big spaghetti serving bowl. Meat was extremely tender, real mashed potatoes. (Not from a box) my friend had the grilled chicken with roasted red peppers, and Cole slaw. She loved it. Oh, my meal came with a soup. Had the potato and bacon soup....delish. if you need a snazzy/ ketchy place, this is not for you. If you want great food with great service with a homey feel, this is for you. This small town local place is the epitome of old school hometown diner. The food reminds you of that home cooked comfort food we remember as kids. Whether you are there for breakfast, lunch or dinner the food is on point. Let's not forget your pocketbook as well. Where can you get a large tomatoe juice for just $2.75. Good comfort food at very affordable prices. Great place to take the family and enjoy a meal out together. Their breakfasts are great. They have great hot open platters and a week prepared array of fish, burgers and sides. They also have homemade potato pancakes which are hard to find these days. The service is excellent.
