Hurley Mountain Inn — Restaurant in Town of Hurley

Had a family dinner function on Friday 04/20/18 at 1800hrs. We had 13 attendees . We arrived at 1730hrs and the place was busy. The bar was full w/ several people standing but I think that was their choice. The table/ restaurant area was at about 80% capacity. Good thing I made a reservation👍. Our server Dennis was prompt and courteous. He began with any drink requests(beer🍻/wine🍷and soft drinks). This naturally took a few minutes due to the crowd conditions. Understandable👌. Once that was complete, Dennis began w/appetizers, of which at least a half dozen were ordered. Many varieties were offered on the menu. They were a hit because they disappeared quickly. Finally the main Entree orders. 🤤wow, Dennis and his team were jumping that evening. Everything from the kitchen came hot and well prepared and I honestly heard no one complain about anything considering the size of the order. And some of the family members are a tad picky😉. There was no lack of choices for dinner, covering the spectrum of items. I'm not going into details, so use your imagination🤔👌. Great job everyone. My family has eaten numerous times here without complaint ; however our last experience was one that has to be told... my nephew found a hair in his food halfway through eating... i informed our waitress who was beyond the best what happened... when check arrived she said owner will make an adjustment well he did take half off I encouraged her to ask for all off... unfortunately the response was no he had eaten half of it.. so moral of story make sure you find the hair at beginning of your meal. . We did take notice of kitchen staff with no hair nets on.... besides that potatoes smothered in chicken francaise sauce and well done burger rare in middle... I will not return to this establishment ever again... their lack of hygiene is a concern and their lack of professionalism on the owners part... lessons to be learned in business management ... as far as our waitress she was...

Very disappointed with this establishment on our recent visit. I was with a tour group that made reservations in advance for our evening dinner meal. Our evening dinner meal was a cold deli luncheon of rolled ham lunch meat, white square cheese (American perhaps), tomato, onion, pickle, cold pastas, meatballs and a dinner roll. The drinks were 2 choices per a table of 8, served in a pitcher. Our cost..$29 each. There were over 35 of us. Deli sandwiches are NOT on their menu. Our tour guides had no idea this was to be our meal. They, as well as the rest of us, thought we would be served an evening dinner meal. It was a big let down in an otherwise wonderful trip. I would not recommend for a tour group to come here as the whole group. Not worth the price. A dinner roll doesn't make a decent sandwich and 8 people usually don't drink the same drinks. It would be best to order...
