Boatyard Pub & Grill — Restaurant in Town of Huron

This is a beautiful marina based bar and grill located on the water. Its outside is newly redone and it's located on the water. Unfortunately, the day I went, it was kind of chilly and not offered to sit outside. You get options of tables in the dining area or booths in the bar area. I caution you that the bar is loud for a 6pm crowd. Everybody knew everybody, and I could hardly hear the couple of people I was sitting with.

Our server was good. It appeared all the servers were great. They were friendly and quick and had lots of knowledge. She did forget to come back to refill our drinks but was quick to offer desserts. I am assuming she was being pushed to get rid of them.

The meal was okay. We also felt the prices were fair but definitely more bar style food. We may choose this place next time if we're driving by and hungry but won't be driving out of our way.

We had a few different things to eat. The wings were cooked well and had good flavor. The blue cheese was odd. It was nothing like anything I've ever had before. I actually asked a few at the table if they thought it was still good. Others at my table also thought their food was just mediocre. The dessert tray was presented like a fine restaurant (which this is not) had good options. The lava cake was good. The cheese cake was good, like every other restaurants cheesecake. Nothing special. Their funnel cake fries were less than desirable. They tasted like the fryer.

Maybe they still have some kinks to work out, but growing up in the restaurant business, this is not...

A group of of us from Fair Haven ventured over to The Boat Yard Friday evening for dinner and it was excellent! By a group, there was 9 of us and the service was spot on, cocktails refills were never a problem and our server was excellent! Three of us had the roast beef sandwich on a pretzel roll, piled high with tender beef with cheese and hand cut fries that were out of this world! We wanted to dine outside so we made a reservation here Friday 7/18. The outside dining was relaxing, with a pretty view. Our service was excellent. Mo was attentive and on point. Our dinners were spot on we both had the special broiled haddock with stuff crab, w/ a choice of two sides. Everything was very good, with large portions and great prices. We plan on returning...
