Country Corners Deli — Restaurant in Town of Hyde Park

I have been coming here sporadically over the past two decades it seems the last couple of years though there has been a huge increase in price I felt bad for the employees today but I had had enough I came back in nicely after asking them to make me an extra roast beef with meat and extra Swiss and mayonnaise on a roll (I also asked as I always do for the meat to be salt and pepper separately for each piece but like most delis that didn’t happen )the staff was very nice ! the girl at the register was very sweet and professional !but when I got the sandwich once again on a roll and a small coffee paying $14 did not sit well with me.I hate doing this kind of thing but I went inside and did not ask for money back but ask them to make sure that this was $14 once again I feel bad they were very nice about it but they justified it with asking for the extra meat and the extra cheese . I feel bad saying it but the extra meat an extra cheese made it to where it would be a basic thin sandwich which you would expect to get for maybe 7.50 or even 8.50 and not a sandwich that you even asked for extra on? ( the sandwich maker did a great job the price is the issue)their food is OK not bad but every time I eat here I feel like somebody’s laughing at me after I pay and I’ve been robbed!! I’ve worked in New York City I’ve worked in Westchester these prices are higher for the same sandwich then in those places once again great staff do what you want with this info just seems very unfair to the people in that area to charge such inflated prices and at least if you have the audacity to charge that then make it an audacious SANDWICH with stuffing it full of meat!!. Once again I’ve kept my mouth shut for years but this was so egregious I had to say something the staff was great and very pleasant the prices...

Went today for the first time to get their wings. The billboard outside said "Best Wings in Town". They were right. The wings were very good. The reason for the two stars was their rude behavior. We stood at the counter for quite awhile while a bunch of kids completely ignored for quite awhile. They weren't busy, so there was no excuse. No one asked if they could help us. We finally got the wings after 15 minutes and said thank you to the girl who handed me the wings. Again I was ignored because she was giggling and laughing with another worker. Might be a good idea for the owner to give a lesson on customrr service...

I go to deli quite often, maybe not as much I use to… tonight I ordered 2 grilled corned beef Reubens, which were tasty, but bread was soggy and had to eat with a fork… I believe they were made properly, but I think the way they were wrapped made them a soggy mess… maybe think about how hot sandwiches are wrapped… the young lady and young man that waited on me were very pleasant and attentive…when you pay a pretty substantial price for a sandwich it should be something you can eat as a sandwich and not soggy with a fork… other than that it was tasty and service was great … thank you!!!! I do love your...
