Exactly what you want from a beach bar / restaurant. Great music playing, a nice breeze blowing through the open windows, and a bartender / owner knows how to mix humor and sarcasm perfectly. The drinks are delicious, the prices are reasonable, and it’s just a stones throw to a beautiful beach. The bartender went out of his way to help me find beach chairs as well. Absolutely loved this place and so happy we stopped in for lunch and a drink.

Cannot imagine rating The Shack poorly. Where do you think you are, the Waldorf?? Skilled bartenders pouring great drinks (rocket fuels with the actual correct ingredients, unlike other establishments on the island!) Fun environment with live music on the weekend. Just steps from the beach too! Nothing better on a hot beach day!

Only stopped for 2 adult drinks which were good. BUT WAY Overpriced at $23 for a Zippy and Montauk summer ale. However it's fire island and we are on vacation. So it's was fun to find this lonely shack to stop at. Very very beachy and exactly what you want on Fire Island!!

Nice beach spot but was a little disappointed in the quality of the food and seating options. We were told from friends that this restaurant was quaint and vibrant, but we all felt it was kind of average. The food was okay, would compare it to a quick stop shop restaurant, nothing special. I absolutely LOVE this place. The owner is awesome and very savvy when it comes to music. He books the BEST bands on Fire Island every weekend. Great chicken wraps and awesome drinks. Probably my favorite spot on Fire Island. The staff is super friendly and it’s a very chill atmosphere. Great spot for morning coffee and egg...
