I went in there temporarily because I wasn't finding Belltone hearing facility. I used their bathroom, while others were waiting inline. The individual ahead of me, I'm not making this up, seemed of a criminal nature, the (was it the owner?) called him by his first name served him. I waited for her to get my attention. Some other guest had picked up a brownie then put it down, kind of weird, that while I was looking at him (gross?). Rather than wait on me as I stood online, she waited on him (was it his order she was taking?) I had reviewed the menu at the front counter and was waiting for her to take it. INSTEAD, she was speaking to the individual who had picked up and put back the brownie. She was seemingly acting very slowly as I had been in there for minutes, probably waiting over 5 minutes for her. I was more than ready to order from the menu. I spoke over that conversation and asked, "are you going to wait on me?" Seemed logical to me at the time. She replied that I needed to wait. I gently put down the menu and began to leave. She shouted at me, THAT WAS RUDE, DON'T COME BACK. I was more than shocked. I will never return to that place so help me...
Read moreWonderful, heart-warming, no-frills spot with friendly staff and absolutely delicious food. I grew up in Ithaca and moved back a year ago with my family after living in Brooklyn for 12 years. I had never heard of this place, and, knowing most of the places I like to go around town, was hesitant to try it out. My wife and I stopped in for lunch after dropping our kid off at daycare nearby, and were immediately greeted by the most wonderful, friendly staff, and the most delectable-looking array of pastries. We shared an incredible, mammoth-sized cinnamon bun, and we each ordered a breakfast burrito. We took a table when it opened up, and the man behind the register (presumably Adam himself?) brought the food over, complete with orange slices. My wife said it was the best breakfast burrito she'd ever tasted, and I don't think that was hyperbole. We chatted with the staff afterwards, who were very sweet and unpretentious, and I bonded with one of the owners about old businesses that were around in Ithaca during my childhood. We left with smiles on our faces. Will...
Read moreWorld, look at this beautiful little leaf. Making up a huge beautiful bowl of salad catered by Adam's. Usual catered salads have a reputation for being wan, pale, floppy and tasteless. But Adam's Cafe salads are incredibly fresh (how?! It's winter!) and the tomatoes actually taste like tomatoes, and the carrots are real cuts of goodness.
I cannot recommend Adam's enough for catering your event! Not only were the folks easy to communicate with, they were super kind, loaded everything into our vehicle for us, and even gave me an extra scone on the side. :) The food is delicious, packed in a pleasing way, and I love that they're using baskets and ceramic wear that gets returned after use, rather than throwing away huge plastic single-use bowls. Thank you for making catering a delightful experience!! Also your scones are...
