Wever Creek Diner — Restaurant in Town of Johnsburg

First of all, the atmosphere is not pleasant. We waited at the entrance for a while until the waitress told us to sit anywhere. We sat at a high table, but the legs of the chairs were terribly crooked and wobbled like crazy. Second, I didn’t notice any smell of freshly brewed coffee or cooked food. There was no sign of a place being in full swing, everything seemed slow. Besides that, this is a cash-only place, which feels unusual nowadays. Yes, there is an ATM, but I don’t have a debit card, and even if I did, I wouldn’t trust an unknown ATM machine not to steal my debit card number. I left without ordering. Really enjoyed my experience here with my brothers. The food was yummy, with very reasonable prices! The menu had plenty of options without being overwhelming. Our waitress (I don't remember her name) was very attentive and on top of it. More than once, it felt like she practically read my mind about what I was going to ask her about. Also, the vibe in here was so fun! I look forward to returning and trying some...

So far we have been here 3 times; twice for lunch and once for breakfast. The fries are great and the burger was actually cooked rare as requested. The hot roast beef sandwich is the ultimate comfort food and the breakfast was wonderful. Especially the corned beef hash! Great little spot. Best of luck...
