We arrived LATE! When we pulled in, a small group of people (Family? Employees?) were enjoying the cool evening air at a table outside. This gave us a very relaxed first impression... which we love!
The restaurant is so clean and beautifully decorated now! The hand sinks are INSIDE the restrooms now... if you know, you know. I always dreaded eating at the former restaurant that was at this building. It felt so dirty. NOT ANYMORE! The music was upbeat and made for a very fun and enjoyable environment.
Lisa was friendly and on top of everything we needed. Despite it being an hour from closing, we had beautifully prepared food QUICKLY. We tried a combo dinner for 2 so we could get a taste for a few items. The fajitas were great! Perfectly cooked. We look forward to returning to try more!
The raspberry margarita was delicious. Probably a little too delicious. I could have easily had more than one.
We ended the night with fried ice cream. It was a generous serving and a great way to end such a nice dinner.
All in all, we will return again and again. It is so refreshing to be able to visit and support a locally owned small business over a big boring chain restaurant.
This little restaurant is going places. Give...
Read moreTrue Mexican food with excellent service and super clean. Guacamole is made fresh to order and the Bistek Mexicano (#17 on menu) did not disappoint. The chicken and steak fajitas were very tasty and not just thrown together/bland like many I’ve had. It’s a true gem tucked on HWY B in Dalton, WI that used to be a Mexican restaurant in the day but was closed for a year or 2. Lisa really knows how to treat the customers well and Omar works his magic in the kitchen. Food came out fast and very flavorful. So happy to have a decent restaurant in the area again. If you’re in the area, definitely stop here. The prices are very fair for the quality and quantity you get here. To the reviewer that complained about the charge for a “to go” order was off base. Most places DO charge for this because the food containers and 4oz cups for your salsa etc are more expensive now plus it is more time consuming to set up a “to go” order than just putting it on a plate. I work in the restaurant business and it’s hard to make a profit these days when every ingredient costs so much more compared to 3 years ago and labor costs have increased. Can’t wait to...
Read moreI went here for the first time on my birthday and could not be more pleased. From the moment I walked in the door I was made to feel right at home and as if I were one of the family. I ordered the Steak Fajita Quasadilla, which was amazing, with a Mexican side salad. The standard chips and salsa appetizer. The salsa is freshly made, not from a jar or jug. It was mild with just a hint of zip to it. Just right for me! For something to drink I didn't want anything alcoholic so they made a suggestion and it sounded good and was something I hadn't had before. I can't remember what it's called but the best description I can give is a thin cinnamon egg not. It was to die for and is made fresh every other day, but only served after it has had time to refrigerate and let all of the ingredients to mingle together. For dessert I ordered the Fried Ice Cream. It was smothered in hot fudge and whipped cream and topped with cherries and sauce. It was divine. 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 Will take.my special ❤️ friend there with...
