Redstone's North End Tavern — Restaurant in Town of La Valle

Very slow. We went on a Saturday night. Chalkboard announced Ribs @ 5 so I thought I’d give them a try. Only to find out they were out. Maybe erase the board when they run out(?). So now I have to find something else. The water came out and smelled off, so I ordered a soda, that came out and smelled the same. The ice machine could be contaminated? Or bad water equals bad ice too. I got the wings, they were ok. Drinks weee hit and miss. 1 person’s was almost all liquor, too strong to drink as is and another’s was good. It was hot and stuffy with the windows open. Luckily a storm was brewing so it go windy and cool, so it cooled off the bar. Otherwise it would have been very uncomfortable. There was live music outside, but the seats were filled so we had to eat inside. Not worth the gamble to go back in my opinion. 2 piece cod dinner...

Every time we have been here great food service. Brought today total of13 people. 9 of which never been here. We talked to the inside bar. Stated there closed. Asked where we can sit and get drinks and food. We where told inside tables or on the deck. Beautiful day outside. So no inside right. Deck was full no room to sit. So out side bar area it is. 13 people and no servers. Bar keeper said come to me and order. Really thirteen people? So one of us took everyone's order turned it in with a ticket a server would have used given to us from the outside bar tender. Wow never would have seen this coming from here. So for a group of us that usually tip very well is not going to be tonight. And the new comers first time will have a hard time coming back. Sorry for the rant but this is way less...

This was an accidental find on a beautiful Friday evening. So fish fry it was! They have a variety of fish fry options. We ordered the Family Fish Fry Platter! Yummy! It came with 10 big pieces of fried cod and a huge platter of French fries. It automatically comes with a large tub of Cole slaw but we opted for the salad option. The salad was a bed of leafy spring greens which is waaaaay better then the average iceberg you get at other places. The fish was fried but not overly greasy and the fries were seasoned pretty well. They had a variety of seating options both indoor and outdoor. They also have an enclosed/outdoor bar area. They have a very interesting menu as well. We wanted the fish fry but also noticed a few things we'd like to try in the future. Definitely give this...
