Scott's Subs — Restaurant in Town of Lawrence

Love the pizza! Odd hours, closes early or not open at popular times. Atmosphere is cool & drafty.Owner seems overly into the music, playing his air guitar. Have heard inappropriate music for a family type establishment. Very glad I didn't have children with me on that stop to get food. There are two registers that seem to be for different transactions but I haven't figured out the code for which register to go to. Many times I have waited in line at what appears to be the main register and people behind me go to the second register and get serviced before me...often by the same air guitar preforming worker who was working at the main register. Confusing, but maybe there could be hanging signs above each register explaining what services are available at each register... i.e., "place order here," or "pick up to go orders here? Have you ever walked away from a sub sandwich shop and said to yourself, "man, that had to be the best sub of all time." News flash, unless that place was Scott's Subs, you were wrong. My wife and I end up at Scott's at least once a week. Their selection for subs is immense. It is not a place where you order ingredient-by-ingredient, but they will customize any of their subs to suit your fancy. They have over 70 different subs on any given day as well as the specials board of 6-10 more. If you aren't in the mood for subs, their pizzas are still definitely worth the visit. There's a few beers on tap at any given point to make sure you stay well-hydrated during your visit. Finally, Scott's has an excellent selection of ice cream to finish off your night perfectly. This place was recommended by a friend. It was a little out of the way but I HIGHLY recommend you make the extra few minutes to go check this place out. The subs were the softest sun bread I’ve ever had. I loved how soft yet crispy it was. I got the Cuban and MAN was it good! My hubby got the chicken parm and he loved his as well. We each got a ice cream cone and loved the unique flavors! I got mackinaw island fudge and my hubby got a caramel nut. I loved the flavors were unique and not your usual boring flavors. The owner (I think this was him) was the nicest guy and was just jamming to his Styxx while He was checking people out. He was so friendly. This place was super clean and the food was amazing.
