the countryâfrom street carts in LA to hidden gems in Texasâand somehow, one of the best meals Iâve ever had came out of a tiny town that looks like it shouldnât even have a stoplight, let alone a top-tier taquerĂa.
The guac? Creamy, fresh, and so good I was mentally writing it a love letter mid-bite. The queso and salsa? Absolute power couple. Flavor for days. And the birria tacos? Listen. I blacked out from happiness and when I came to, I was licking the plate.
I also tried the chicken, steak, and chorizo tacos because I make terrible decisions when Iâm fullâbut not a single regret was had. Each one was perfectly seasoned, tender, and made me consider a second stomach.
Now letâs talk tres leches cake: most are soggy. Not this one. It was light, sweet, and flawless. I swear a small choir sang when I took the first bite.
The owner clearly takes deep pride in his foodâand it shows. This isnât just a meal; itâs a full-blown experience. I will gladly drive from Syracuse just to eat here again.
If youâre in upstate or central New York, stop what youâre doing and go. Iâve tried nearly every Mexican spot from Buffalo to Albany and this one wins. Worth the drive, worth the money, and worth every bite-induced...
Read moreAfter several recommendations from our friends, my husband and I decided to eat Tacos Don Fernando, a decision that we will never regret. We already had in mind what we were going to eat, but at the behest of Fernando himself decided to try his specialty, birria tacos and consommĂ©. We were absolutely blown away. The explosion of flavor was something that weâve never experienced before. The tacos were filled with tender cuts of beef, and you could literally taste the fresh herbs and spices. The consommĂ© used to dip the tacos in was rich in flavor and complimented the taco perfectly. For a drink, we ordered the Horchata. It was refreshing, not too sweet which allowed you to taste the cinnamon. Finally, we ordered the Tres Leches cake for dessert. I donât know how we did it but we managed to eat it all.
Don Fernando cooks everything that he makes with love and you can literally taste it. He took the time to introduce himself and give us some insight into his way of cooking traditional Mexican food, which is from the heart.
Thank you for this experience. We wish you many blessings and much continued...

One word: DELISH!! đ We wanted to try something different; being in Camden you don't have many options, especially on a Sunday, but we heard about this restaurant from a co-worker and IT absolutely did not disappoint. Authentic and extremely flavorful! We bought a bunch of stuff to try and Ali (Sunoco owner) recommended everything over the phone and we were both pleasantly surprised when I brought it home -- best Mexican food I've had by far. We'll definitely be going back in a week or...
