I knew that I was happy to see that a restaurant was going to open at the Vineyard Commons. However, at first I knew nothing about the food or the people running it. Was I in for a delightful surprise!
I took everyone here, my relatives, friends and my neighbors. Nobody was ever disappointed. The food was outstanding. I think the first thing I ordered was the fig pizza, so I recommended that to others. Now, though, I have had most things on the menu: Chicken Francaise, Lasagna, stuffed shells, eggplant Parm. All of the dishes are superb. The sauce is delicious. When you meet Rosalie and the wait staff, it’s like you are talking to one of your close friends or relatives. You want them to sit down and eat with you, but they can’t, because their main concern is to make sure the restaurant is running smoothly and the customers are happy. They always go out of their way to please the people they serve. I want them to be at the Vineyard Commons for as long as I am there, because I love La Cucina de Rosalie and I am sure you will too when you come...
Read moreI'd give it 3.5 stars if I could but rounded up because Rosalie, I'm assuming, was very nice and took pride in her food. The main problem with this restaurant is some of the dishes were on the cool side. Pan fried mozzarella had warm and cool spots in it - would have been delicious if it had been warmer. Also ordered broccoli rabe as a side, this was borderline cold. The food that was warm was very good and fairly priced. Large cocktails and wine. Good value for the money but disappointed that food arrived cold. The restaurant is in a very odd place. It's located in a senior living apartment complex and has decor that looks like a senior living facility dining room. No stars off for this, just saying atmosphere is not it's...
Read moreAfter two days of turkey, turkey & more turkey we needed something different. So my wife & I decided on ordering out & picking our food up. With restaurants shutting down indoor seating & weather not permitting outdoor dinning it was curbside for us. We decided on La Cucina Rosalie in Wappinger falls and we were not disappointed. Wanting to eat lite we decided on sharing some appetizers. We had the eggplant, fried artichoke hearts & rice balls. Our apps were as delicious as they looked. Portions were generous & we could only imagine what the entrees will be like. Which will be happening soon. One last note, our order was ready at the designated time. The food was hot and everyone was taking safety precautions. Thanks La Cucina...
