WARNING: Separately from their restaurant there are over priced DISGUSTING DIRTY and DANGEROUS campsites they rent out for quick cash. If you are looking to camp there BEWARE!
We ended up in the HOSPITAL due to their unsafe setup of loose concrete blocks for stairs. When the accident happened we couldn’t reach the host NICK. After the accident we vacated the property IMMEDIATELY while two of us stayed at the hospital, one with a serious eye injury.
After finally reaching the host Nick, and getting a response, what we got was no remorse paired with a rude tone. We NICELY asked for a PARTIAL refund explaining that $500 for 4 nights at a BARE and DOWNHILL campsite was a lot to lose for us, 4 young students, and offered to show the documents from the hospital to make clear that we could not go back to camping there with the injury acquired, even if we wanted to.
We literally asked this guy to please “find it in his heart” to give us a partial refund and NOTHING.
To top it off, please see attached pictures of disgusting used toilet paper scattered right in the middle of the $500 campsite. They didn’t even clean up after the people before us. Beyond that, they market this as a 4 people campsite and let you book it as such, while their tent only fits 2 people. When you bring your own, to accommodate the other 2 people you paid for, they try to spring a 25$/day extra tent charge on you. Not that there’s enough level ground to put up as much as a toddler tent anyway.

Read moreMy Sister and my Nephew frequently go but I had never been until recently. I will be returning. Friendly staff. Great atmosphere (we sat outside on a beautiful day). Good was good! Wings were big and plump, not the skinny little (bird legs? 🤣) Some places serve. Drinks were reasonable, and free apples! Great place to stop on a motorcycle run. Saw all different types of bikes (we were there for hours) and this is not what I would call a biker bar at all. Just that it sits on a road that you see dozens to hundreds of them go by on a spring day like we were there for. Also saw several families with kids stop to eat. Just an overall fun place to sit with friends and loved ones to dine and perhaps indulge in an adult beverage or two.
They have live music there from what I understand, every Friday and Saturday? Don't quote me on that but I did see an outdoor stage. I am pretty sure that's not a thing in the colder months though. Check their website to be sure. I do plan to return and catch some local music. I love supporting the local music scene. Go have some fun. Hear a band. Eat out among some people. Stop using door dash or delivery for a meal. Enjoy life. We all need human interaction and socializing sometimes. Enjoy and thanks...
Read moreThis place rocked! Stopped here on our way to the Burn Brae Mansion to meet up with a bunch of friends who were staying the night with us at the haunted B&B. The Outpost went out of their way to accommodate all of us, even though a bunch arrived at different times (a couple about 15 minutes after us, and more about 25 minutes after we arrived). The food was great (especially the fries), the prices were good, and the service was amazing. It was a Sat afternoon, and they had a band playing. A few of us played corn hole while having a few drinks at the outside bar after we finished eating, since check-in at the B&B wasn't until 4pm. Just a very nice experience at a quaint restaurant/bar you'd expect to find in Texas. Just be aware, you won't have cellphone service there. There was a spot inside near the bar where our service worked somewhat but for only about 3 to 5 minutes, so make sure you don't need to make any calls. Only about 10 minutes from the Hawks Nest Lookout off scenic Rt 97. If you're going to be passing through the Pond Eddy, Port Jetvis area in NY, you should make the stop for a bite to eat at this cool little place!...
