Log Cabin Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Macedon

First of all I would like to say the atmosphere and Festival of Lights were wonderful!! I do understand the world is short staffed, my friend and I are both servers so we completely understand and sympathize… but this situation was unacceptable. We were greeted by an older women considered to be a host, she was unfriendly and snarky. We were told our wait would be 20 minutes, so naturally we played with the claw machine while waiting. My friend went and asked this host if there was an atm where we could get cash out for the claw machine and festives later in the night. The host responded very short and rude acting as if we were speaking a foreign language. We finally sat down and our table was still dirty and sticky. We waited about 20 minutes for the sever to come around so we could ask her nicely to wipe the table again. With our luck this “host” also was our server, she again acted as if asking for a wipe on the table was too much and claimed that the cleaner (bleach) made the tables sticky…. Bleach doesn’t make things sticky?…. We ordered our food and it was pretty average dinner food, the server/host forgot about our dressing and extra napkins until I flagged her down again. This women’s attitude made us feel as though us being there was a major inconvenience, I understand that they were short staffed, but attitude means everything in the service world. She then handed us the check and told us to pay at the front, we stood upfront for a couple minutes with no one around, a random lady comes and takes our checks and doesn’t say a single word to us, also acting as if we were inconveniencing her. Overall not a great experience and do not recommend dining here…. OH I ALMOST FORGOT, on their menu they have a sandwich called “the immigrant” which is very offensive as it is simply just a Greek gyro sandwich. There are way better names to use for this type of sandwich than immigrant…...

Went for Wednesday cruise night and sat down at 6:30 to eat with 7 people. Drinks came quick, server took about another 20 minutes to take our orders. Server came back 3 times over the next 45 minutes to check on our drinks while we watched people that sat after us that were served their meals. There were only 3 other tables being served. Food finally came at about 7:45 and my food was not good, I ordered BBQ pulled pork for $17.99 that came with baked beans, coleslaw and potato salad. They brought me a very small, completely mushy microwaved mess of pulled pork with a sharp BBQ sauce and what looked like wegmans canned beans covering half the plate, not drained. Not even close to baked.There was no slaw or potato salad. I had to ask for the sides and was told "sorry, out of potato salad, can have salad?" I just opted for nothing because it was so long waiting. The pork and beans were so bad that I didn't want to eat it and the server did take it away and had it taken off the bill and was very apologetic. I didn't get anything else...again because we had already been more than an hour waiting. To be fair, the others with me said their food was ok, but were not excited about the wait either. I would for sure go back for the cars, but would never eat there again. Advice would be...never microwave an entree, it's sheer laziness. Microwaves are for heating sauces sometimes or heating water quick. I've made pulled pork in pizza places where I've worked that was purchased frozen from Olindo's that when heated in the oven is exceptional. Keep your standards high even when it's busy. And have servers explain why it's taking longer if it's busy outside, but your dining room is...

If I could have rated lower because of today I would have!! Today 4.12.2021 was the worst experience I have ever had with them, they normally do a great job out of all the previous 3 times I went in before the pandemic and when it first broke out last march 2020 I nicely complained to the waiter and then to the manager about how the breaded chicken was so hard crusted and that I couldn't enjoy that in my salad because of that , they tried everything they could to be the rudest handling situation and when I asked nicely for a possible partial refund the manager litterly argued with me for like no reason and yet I kept my cool and was still polite despite not getting a refund or having them offer to remake it because breaded chicken isnt suppose to be so hard that you could break a tooth from it, and since I was lucky to notice it before a possible situation of that because chicken that hard means it's old and no good! I've had wonderful experiences with other restaurants and food then what I had today! I'd say I'd never go there and spend money ever again just based on how awful today was no1 deserves to go through that, theres nothing anyone who works etc of this place can change my rating !! So dont bother offering me that option ! Dont go here, if your reading this Google viewers !
