Sycamore Golf Club — Restaurant in Town of Macedon

Played golf and had lunch at Sycamore Golf club today. Beautiful course, pro shop, restaurant and staff. Pro shop staff was professional welcoming and courteous. Course was in very good condition with excellent fairways, greens and ruff. Greens very fair but fast. Restaurant was beautiful, clean and spotless. Waitress Angel was an angel, food was exceptional and prices were reasonable. All staff were very accommodating and friendly. Owner Mark stopped by our table to chat and thanked us for our patronage and by his actions and demeanor showed us exactly why he is and will be successful for years to come. Mark has done a great job on bringing this place back into shape. It was very busy but we still managed to play in 4 1/2 hours. Proshop was nice and the staff were friendly. The course was as good as it could be. Greens were consistent with ok speed and fairways were well groomed. Old trees were gone and new ones were planted. I was a member here in the 90’s and the conditions were similar. It’s a bit longer than before but still very playable. It’s was also a rainy spring so everything was still green and soft. Horrible golf course run by horrible people. The course is horribly maintained, with divots on the greens… barely mowed tee boxes and fairways, and overall in poor shape. Older gentleman in the pro shop has harassed us multiple times for pace of play. Almost no accountability for tee times, and a rude staff. $20 to walk 9 holes after 5pm on a weekday, I mean are you kidding me??? This golf course is worth paying $5, and that’s if you’re willing to get harassed by the disrespectful, senile staff this place employs. Truly a disgrace of a golf course.
