Ye Olde Pizza Pub — Restaurant in Town of Madison

Wow wow wow, I could give 0 stars if I could. I went with my best friend, her fiancé and another bridesmaid. We were in the area trying different pizzas for their wedding: Joey and Vinny's is our favorite, definitely recommend. Anywho, we went in and decided to try a buffalo chicken wing pizza! We expected the food to be amazing since it looked so beautiful inside, we were wrong. We got our pizza which looked like it had been drenched in water as a finishing touch but decided to not judge a book by its cover. We had taken a slice, my best friends fiancé went to go in for a bite and he found a hair in the food. He picked it out and tried for another, we all tried a bite and were not impressed. We brought it back up saying there was a hair in it and that it didn't taste very good (did not even ask for a refund). They brought it back and dug into it looking for a hair and we heard another say, "this doesn't look good either". A very nice blonde woman said that she was sorry and would have another coworker call the manager to see what to do in the situation. A different girl, very unexperienced to say the least, very rudely said "the only thing I can do for you is give you store credit or make you another pizza" and we politely said that we live an hour away so no need for a store credit and we do not want another pizza. She told us there was nothing else they could do and we reminded the girl that there was a hair in the pizza. She replies, "Oh now there's a HAIR in the pizza?" And we replied with, yes there is a hair in the pizza. She did not believe us and was quite rude. She then proceeded to swear at us and we asked for the managers number and she refused to give it to us. Note: no worker there had their hair up, no gloves and some of the women there were playing with their hair on the front desk...

We visited this place before and had subs that were amazing! We decided to make the hour long trip to go back tonight and try their pizza and wings. The girl behind the counter seemed new and was not very confident when answering questions. Their menu lists a 'spicy sauce' and when we asked about it another lady (colored highlights in her hair) in the kitchen said it was the marinara sauce. Not sure how a marinara sauce can be consider spicy or why it would be listed as a separate topping but whatever. The pizza was good but when we got the wings some spots on them were ice cold and the meat was nearly mush. When I asked for a refund they did give it to me but defended the wings saying they air fry them to make them soft. Then as we were leaving the gentlemen who gave me the refund was saying goodbye and have a nice night (typical good customer service) when the lady in the kitchen told him "Don't tell them that". For that reason alone we will never be returning to this place and I highly advise against...

This place used to be a favorite for many people. In the last 3 or 4 years, it has taken a turn. The food is definitely not as good as it used to be. The whole place is run by teenagers. You'll never see anyone older than 18 or 19 there. We used to LOVE the pizza, taters, and chicken wings. Now, every time we get food from there, we talk about not wanting to get it again. The quality of the food has just decreased. I got a fish fry there today that was so gross. The fish had to have been frozen. Typically, if you get a fish fry at any local pizzerias on a Friday, it's fresh, and they either beer battered it or breaded it themselves. This was 100% not done at the pizza pub. It's very sad to lose this once treasured restaurant. I have been eating there for more than 20 years. But I really don't...
