The Country Vibe — Restaurant in Town of Manchester

My family and I went to the countryside today (5/12 Mother’s Day) for breakfast. We walked into the restaurant knowing that they would be busy as they are usually a good breakfast place with good service. In understanding this, our waitress came over and took our drink order along with our food order as we wanted to get our order in quickly so she wouldn’t have to come back. After she left with our order, she came back one time to ask about drink refills and such. After that we waited an hour and 30 minutes and never saw our waitress or our food. We decided to go up and ask the hostess about our food and she told us there was nothing she could do. We finally found our waitress and as she was walking up to talk to us she whispered to the other lady “Here she comes” as they told us that our ticket hadn’t been put in. We were never made aware of this nor did she even check in with us after the first 15 minutes. We stopped in for a dinner with my wife's aunt. Despite only being one of four tables occupied, it took almost ten minutes just to get our drinks. My wife has food allergies and had a few questions about items on the menu. Our waitress had no answers for any of her questions and was seemed unhappy to answer them. Our food comes and my wife ended up having to pick out the ingredients she could not have. Her aunt ordered a burger and it came way over done, she ended up scraping the outside before she ate it to get the char off. I got breakfast food, and my eggs were not cooked all the way through, still almost raw inside. I ordered to extra sides of toast, besides the one that came with my food, and was only given 3 jellies for all of them. When the waitress finally came back to our table, she saw the things my wife couldn't eat and my eggs, but was no help. We were there for almost an hour and were never offered a refill on our drinks. UPDATE 08/24 - went back and tried the chocolate chip pancakes again - they are back to being hefty & huge again! A must try if you like pancakes!

Update* 06/02/24 - Had a full stack of chocolate chip pancakes today with a side of home fries. I’ve had them both multiple times before. Today, the pancakes were smaller & thinner & the side of home fries were very skimpy for $6.95! The side plate wasn’t even full. Very disappointing to say the least. Not to mention the ice water had a terrible taste. I think I may be done with this place for a while. What a shame!

Love this place! Food is always good and portions are very generous. The beer battered fish fry is usually outstanding (we order it crispy). Staff is always friendly and efficient.
