Wayside Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Manchester

One of our favorite places. Great meals and specials everyday. The staff are very nice. They are short staffed right now (6/22) but your patience will be rewarded. Fantastic Friday FishFry! Under new management, so expect to see some changes. July 2022 New owner. Lots of changes. Especially the Friday fish fry. It seems that better fish is served and the price has gone up by $2.00 (for the 3 piece fish plate.) Still tastes pretty good. I heard that a new menu is coming so I would expect price increases on most everything. 08/2022 - New menu, short and to the point. The quality of the food used has gone up, which is real nice, makes everything taste that much better. Well worth the price increases. 11/22 Remodeling scheduled for Dec. 2022 New flooring & new booths, installation of a bar. Also putting in new kitchen appliances. Not sure if everyone's favorite the well seasoned grill will stay or go. Getting rid of old ice cream machine for scoopable ice cream. Most all of the old staff have left, along with most of the loyal customers. My guess as to the reason for the loyal customers leaving would be the new very restrictive...

My mom, sister, and I stopped here for breakfast this morning. We waited 45 minutes for our food. People that were sat after us received their meals and were finished eating before we’d even gotten our food. Our food was luke warm at best by the time we’d received it. Our waitress didn’t stop by our table once to apologize for the long wait or to refill our drinks. When we went up to the register to pay, the woman behind the counter uninterestedly asked how everything was. My mom was simply being honest (because why not give feedback when asked for it, right?) and said that the service was very slow - and that we waited 45 minutes for our meals. She responded with “Well, WE ARE BUSY.”

Really?! Not even an apology for a poor experience? She was so incredibly rude! We walked away stunned and SO disappointed. We will never go back. And we highly recommend ANY other restaurant in the area - you’ll undoubtedly receive better and quicker service - because it couldn’t be any worse than how we were treated and how long we waited this morning at...

This place has changed so much in the last 5 years. Its been completely remodeled and has an awsome atmosphere. As for the food its always been very good. I enjoy the plate size pancake and sausage patties. Its the best and biggest pancake i ever had. It will knock your socks off its so big lol. Ill post a picture. The place has everything from beer to fresh scooped icecream. New gas pumps make fueling up a sinch! And the customer service is like no other place. They make u feel welcome and they show there appreciation for your buisness. So if your out that way and need to fill up the gas tank and your belly at the same time stop at BP Wayside in Manchester...
