The restaurant is very welcoming with medium lighting and beautifully mainained knotty pine walls. Parking is a bit hodgepodge; so grab a spot when you get somewhat close to the entrance. Jill provided exceptional service. They always have Hungarian soup on the menu and it's a great starter. My grandson and I tried the smoked chicken and rice soup. It was thick and flavorful. We would definitely order it again. My husband ordered the Saturday night special prime rib. It honestly wea just OK. Nor as flavorful as some others we've had and it didn't melt in the mouth like prime should. His baked potato and green beans were good. I had the Spanish Pork. Perfectly cooked and seasoned pork tenderloin over Spanish rice and topped with a jalepeno cream sauce had the perfect blend of flavors. The other 3 at the table had the walleye special which was two blackened fillets covered with a creamy spinach sauce served with wild rice. All three loved it and I admit I stole a bite off my grandson's plate and it was delicious. We ended the meal sharing two orders of the bread pudding. My advice is to save a little room and try...

Aberdeen Restaurant - Northwoods atmosphere with scenic waterfront dining - delicious food. First visit and we loved it, can't wait to visit again real soon. Larry was a gracious host, excellent communication arranging our reservation and table. We started at the bar with a round of the Wisconsin Classic - Brandy Old Fashioned and they were delicious. We were seated promptly and enjoyed a seat next to the cozy fireplace with wonderful winter/ spring views of the water as it was peaking through the snow covered banks. Our server was patient with us as we previewed the menu, too many outstanding choices; I tried the ribs and they were "fall off the bone tender and sweet", she tried the fried perch and she loved them, our guests both had the center cut filet, they both commented that they were grilled to perfection - moist and tasty. If you're in the Northwoods and want an authentic dining experience, delicious food and professional, Wisconsin hospitality - you should visit The Aberdeen Restaurant & Bar in Manitowish Waters - easy to find, just off Hwy 51 on Two Pines Rd and Aberdeen Lodge Circle. Enjoy,...

Tonight, I had the most perfectly cooked steak of any place in the Manitowish Waters / Minocqua area. (so far) Perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. --No char. No heavy black pepper crust. No garlic. Just an incredible 6oz fillet that melted in my mouth. The Aberdeen Lodge has one hell of a teamwork concept while short-staffed. Cooks help run the food to the tables as the very few waitress are hustling like crazy. I saw every person getting fantastic service. Old Fashioned and a Spotted Cow to start with, then a bowl of the smoked chicken wild rice soup 🍲 It was better than soup I have had in New Orleans...and tasted like it came from there. He tried the French Dip...with the flavorful, yet well trimmed stack of meat nestled in a perfectly toasted hoagie roll. I did the 6oz fillet and paired it with a jacket potato and their green beans (cooked al dente). We topped it all off with their famed bread pudding and I may have scars on the back of my hand from the hubby trying to hoard it, bite by bite. The dual scoops of vanilla ice cream countered the rich whisky sauce. Time to enjoy food coma...

Possibly the best food you'll find in the area. I had the Walleye - deep fried, the wedge salad, the cheese curds, and the bread pudding. (I was hungry..) The Walleye was seriously the best I've had. I meant to eat one fillet and box the second but that didn't happen. The wedge salad has a wonderful smokey flavor that sets it apart from the million other wedges out there. The lettuce is singed on the grill to create a completely exciting flavor. The cheese curds are a must have WI Northwoods standby and the bread pudding should be boxed and taken home if you can't stuff it in while you are there. (It makes for a lovely breakfast addition for the next morning.) Always crowded, reservations are recommend, but waiting at the bar for a table to open up is a fine option if you didn't plan ahead.

Larry greeted us at the front desk, and were seated right away, in the screen porch. Beautiful view. Jenna took great care of us. Cocktails were delicious and strong. I had the Tuna, and my husband had the filet. I appreciated that I could get fresh delicious veggies as my side. We have visited several times over the past few months, and each time has been pleasant. We will be back to this hidden gem again!
