I have allergies to dairy and gluten so it’s extremely challenging to eat especially in the UP. We generally just eat in the van but we decided to stop by since the view looked nice, it was raining and we liked the name.
The server I’m certain could be a better server but maybe wasn’t trained correctly or has little experience in customer service. Her attitude was rude and confused. I asked if I could make an omelette with spinach, peppers, onions and bacon. She said with an eye roll “okay, but it’ll take a long time”
It did take a long time and the general attitude really robbed us of our relaxing morning.
With all that being said the food was great and we all start somewhere in the service industry. If we happen to be back that way any time soon we will indeed give it another chance. When you are kind and have fun doing your job your PPA, upselling and tip percentage will sky rocket. Just food for thought! Have fun doing your job and remember the customer is not always right. Read moreWow Wonderful evening. I feel bad it’s been so long we have visited. Wild rice Soup was spot on. I loved the mixed greens salad with Blueberry Vinaigrette, Dressing Could have been a touch sweeter with the bitter farm fresh greens. Jesse was awesome Host/waitress! Even split our soup and Salad. Wifey add Perch fish fry, delicious light and crispy. Awesome Tartar. I had shrimp Scampi with no pasta and extra vegetables, shrimp perfectly cooked as well as the vegetables topped off with fresh herbs all delicious, and wonderful light sauce. All topped off with Apple Cumble and Kevins home made maple/bourbon ice cream so delicious And smooth. Kevin your crew does and Great job with Social distancing and wearing masks. It’s made us feel good in these trying time. Chef Kevin thanks so much for visiting with us, so sorry to hear about your Grandpa Berts passing, I am sure he having a blast with my mom and dad up in Heaven.

Read moreWe took a chance on this restaurant after a reservation mix-up at another place. It ended up being a mistake, from the moment we walked in. The bartender/hostess was sarcastic about our request, and then neglected us, (which we explained that we weren’t looking for the any special given the lack of reservations). We noticed that not only was she rude to us, she also treated her staff poorly, putting down their orders or ignoring them. We were seated a table separate from the rest clientele, as if we were not acceptable. The food was passable, just standard Wisconsin fish fry food, (although there wasn’t even a dumpling in the chicken dumpling soup).
